Recently in an online community forum, the story of how one of SM Entertainment's top visual and talented idols, NCT's Jaehyun, got into the label was shared, and the reason has left many fans baffled.

It was revealed that Jaehyun had to get approval from his parents to allow him to audition for SM Entertainment, and the only reason Jaehyun's father had actually allowed the NCT member to audition for major music label was that he believed Jaehyun wasn't going to pass the auditions due to his visuals - which he thought weren't fit for SM Entertainment!
Fortunately, Jaehyun didn't let his father's words deter him, and continued with his audition for the "Big 4" label and was able to make his debut as a member of NCT. Not only that, but Jaehyun proved his father wrong by becoming one of the best and top visuals among idols these days as he continues to steal the hearts of over a million fans all over the globe.

Many who found out the real reason Jaehyun was allowed to audition for SM Entertainment was left wondering how his father came to that conclusion. While some even thanked Jaehyun's father because now, they can always see Jaehyun and his beauty.
Meanwhile, Jaehyun is currently a member of NCT's sub-units, NCT U and NCT 127. According to SM Entertainment, both units are preparing to make a comeback in the second half of 2021.
