MAMAMOO's Solar Becomes Building Owner for $4 Million USD
According to an exclusive report by Maeil Kyungjae on August 9 KST, the real estate industry had revealed that MAMAMOO's Solar had recently purchased a small building with one basement and four above-ground floors back in January of this year in Changcheon-dong, a neighborhood in the Seodaemun-gu district in Seoul.
According to the report, Solar purchased the building for 4.5 billion won (around $4 million USD), and had paid off the remaining balance at the end of June 2021.

The building, which is 67 pyeong of land and has a total floor area of 171 pyeong (around 222 square meters, 566 square meters), is located at the center of a commercial area with an abundant floating population and is just a three-minute walk from Exit 1 of Shinchon Station.
Real estate experts stated that the building Solar had purchased is located in one of the few large commercial areas in Seoul, so it is likely that the liquidity will be high in other commercial areas in case of a resale.
In addition, they stated that the sale price of the building was a little lower as it is located in a semi-residential area in Changcheon-dong, compared to if the area was fully-residential.

They added that the Sinchon commercial district is more undervalued as compared to the commercial district in Hongdae, but as it is close to three prestigious universities, there is a possibility that the value will further leap forward in the future.
Meanwhile, Solar, who debuted as a member of MAMAMOO back in June 2014, has earned a considerable amount of income through various group and individual activities.
In particular, Solar has her own Youtube channel called "solarsido," which has more than 3.27 million subscribers worldwide.

Solar had mentioned in the past that her Youtube channel's monthly revenue is 100 million won (around $87,500) for when she reached one million subscribers. As Solar now has three million subscribers, it can be expected that her monthly revenue had tripled since then.

MAMAMOO Solar and Moonbyul's Guest Appearance on 'Sixth Sense 2' Breaks Viewership Ratings
Back on July 30, MAMAMOO's Solar and Moonbyul made a guest appearance on the tvN variety show "Sixth Sense 2." In fact, Solar and Moonbyul were the show's first-ever female guests to be invited on the variety program.
With the two MAMAMOO members' appearance, "Sixth Sense 2" broke their own record by garnering a 3.4 percent average in nationwide viewership ratings and peaked at 5 percent. It also became the most viewed show among all of the cable channel shows broadcasted at the time.
Meanwhile, "Sixth Sense 2" is broadcasted every Friday at 8:40 pm KST on tvN.
