The company has chosen BTS Suga to reimagine "Over the Horizon" (Samsung Galaxy's Song), and the final track is currently being released as part of Samsung's "Unpacked 2021" event.

You may have heard the sound "Over the Horizon" - it's the official sound of Samsung Galaxy Phones, and the trademark sound for Samsung smartphones. It's the only music that comes together with a new device.

"Over The Horizon" is the phone's main ringtone and notification sound, and also the sound when the device turns on and off.

Composed by Joong Sam Yun and debuted with Samsung Galaxy S II in 2011, "Over The Horizon" has a lot of reimaginings and remixes by different musicians after a decade - and the latest is by BTS Suga.

Being a member of BTS, Suga is also an ambassador for Samsung. However, he is using his producing skills for the brand and it feels very special.

The whole experience is a dream come true for the rapper/producer. He stated that the project was to arrange the song "Over the Horizon" as he was a big fan of Galaxy, it was a very remarkable experience for him.

"Everyone knows that it's the Galaxy theme song just by its melody. I was really excited when they asked me to do the project. I started off feeling like it was meant to be," he said.

Suga is not new to producing. Nevertheless, he enjoys exploring the genre. He was very excited to do one after his long wait.

"I listened to a lot of instrumentals from a young age, and I've always wanted to make an instrumental track, so the whole process was incredible," Suga shared.

Granting the artist's label for what they want is critical as a songwriter, with him stating that the most important part of working with the people outside.

The BTS member then confessed that he does not get too many benefits from making songs for other artists. He hinted that it is neither money nor similar advantages that will keep him going.

Suga is hoping that even though his job was only to reimagine the song, he might be able to maintain "Over The Horizon" melody so that it can still reverberate with Galaxy fans. He is able to put his own spin on the song while respecting its origins.

"It was an honor to work on a song that's been a part of Galaxy's 10-year history. I tried to put my own interpretation while keeping the melody largely the same for it to resonate with a broader audience," Suga said.

Suga pondered very much not only on the original track, but with other artists' work as well while he was creating his project with Samsung.

Some of the works were done by Quincy Jones, Icona Pop, and Yiruma, Some latest versions were Jamie Christopherson's orchestral arrangement, Jacob Collier's for Samsung Galaxy S&, Dirty Loops' for Samsung Galaxy S7, Steven Price's in 2019, and Korean pianist Yiruma this year.

"I wouldn't go far as to say that it's my source of inspiration, but I always liked 'Over the Horizon.' I also heard different versions by various artists," the BTS member shared.

Suga worked on his version of "Over the Horizon," and it didn't take long enough. And without a doubt, everyone loves his creation. He shared:

"The first sketch didn't take long. Everyone loved what I did with the song. I listened to it over and over again, added a string solo then the guitar to make it more dramatic and to give it the full grandeur."

"Over the Horizon" is instrumental, that is why there are no lyrics to convey a message. This is the case with most of the songs of the Korean Boy Group BTS. Suga still hopes that the listeners will be able to get even more from the song.

"Like the title 'Over the Horizon,' it's about going beyond our limits. No one knows what will unfold. But our dreams make us go farther than ever. I hope that together with Galaxy, you'll feel your heart open up."- Suga
