SHINee Minho and Gong Minji to Participate in MBC 'Extreme Debut Wild Idol'
The K-pop icons from the second-generation era will join forces for MBC's upcoming survival show, "Extreme Debut: Wild Idol"! On the 20th, SHINee Minho and Gong Minji were spotted filming together for the show — raising curiosity if what will be their roles.
On August 20, entertainment officials confirmed that SHINee's Minho and Gong Minji, a former 2NE1 member will make their appearance on MBC's new survival audition program "Extreme Debut: Wild Idol" (hereinafter "Wild Idol").

According to the show's official, "It is true that Minho and Gong Minji joined the shooting."
In another news, OSEN reported that the two K-pop icons will join the show as special representatives.
Minho will be in charge of physical strength training along with former Turbo Kim Jong Kook, while Gong Minji will be in charge of dance training along with Lia Kim.
With SHINee's Minho and Gong Minji joining the trainer corps, a more powerful and colorful lineup has been completed.
Aside from their appearances, the interaction between legendary second-generation idols is also anticipated by K-pop enthusiasts. In particular, Minho and Minji (also known as Minzy) will be joining Brave Girls Yeojung and INFINITE Kim Sung Kyu who are also well-known idols.
Other celebrities will also spice up the show such as best friends Kim Jong Kook and Cha Tae Hyun who will be hostings the show as well as Lee Sun Bin and Lee Hyun Yi who will be in charge of the idol trainees.
Meanwhile, Tiger JK, Bizzy, Lia Kim, NELL Kim Jongwan, and Kim Sung Kyu will launch a generous support shoot for their debut as the show's trainers.

'Extreme Debut: Wild Idol': Release Date and Other Details that You Need to Know
Among numerous survival show in Korea, "Extreme Debut: Wild Idol" is a new concept of searching for the next top stars — in the wild.
Rather than the usual theme of having indoor performances and challenges, this new survival program of MBC will have it outdoors.
The mechanics of the show is also slightly different as instead of just training or practicing their dance, vocals, and rap skills, the trainees' physical strength will also be tested.
The show will feature 45 participants who will have to undergo rigorous training under the trainers. The trainees who will reach the top bracket of the pyramid are the only ones who will have a chance to debut.
MBC's "Extreme Debut: Wild Idol" is set to premiere on September 18.
