BTS Launches New Version of 'Butter' Featuring Megan Thee Stallion
Worldwide Idol group BTS has released a new version of "Butter" in collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.
BTS and Megan Thee Stallion teams up for 'Butter' remix
BTS released a new remix of "Butter" synchronously all over the world at 1 PM (KST) on August 27. As it was announced previously, the remix will be a version with the addition of rap performed by Megan Thee Stallion, who has become a "culture" icon with its unique charm.
The light and refreshing melody of the original version of "Butter" and BTS' unique style, together with Megan Thee Stallion's powerful rap, created a new "Butter." In the remix version, where the soft yet intense contrasting charm of BTS in "Butter" is harmonized with Megan Thee Stallion's rich vocals, ad-lib, and signature, and a unique charm is felt in the song.
Together with the release of the new remix of "Butter," BTS uploaded a Visualizer video with the use of the digital cover image of "Butter" and the image of Megan Thee Stallion on the official SNS. While different colors harmonize, the cover image of "Butter," which has been transformed into a lip motif, is making Megan Thee Stallion's features stand out more.

The digital single "Butter," which was released last May 21, entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart and then went straight to number one. It then climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart nine times for a total of nine times, making it the most number-one song in 2021. It then ranked 8th on the latest chart and ranked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the 13th week.
BTS created this remix to celebrate the dazzling history of "Butter," which is loved globally and has become a "Global Summer Song." Megan Thee Stallion, who got attracted to the charm of "Butter," stated that she is very happy to participate in the remix of "Butter" by BTS, which she likes. She hopes that her fans and ARMYs will hear the song soon.

Conflict before the collaboration happens
On August 25, the American Rapper Megan Thee Stallion announced that she and BTS had prepared a collaboration for a "Butter" remix. But her label was trying to stop its release. And then, ARMYs have been very expressive with their support and are anticipating the collaboration, particularly when it becomes a court case. Luckily the judge finally allowed it, and the awaited collaboration happened.
Immediately when the court finally approved it, both BTS and Megan Thee Stallion released the new "Butter" teaser, officially announcing the upcoming remix to their followers. Both of their fandoms could not be even more excited.
As of now, the "Butter" remix has 4,063,697 (and counting) views on YouTube, this is just over an hour after its release.
