Yunho releases a second apology after reports of the TVXQ member violating quarantine guidelines and avoiding criminal punishment.

TVXQ Yunho Gives Second Apology After Violating Quarantine Guidelines

Back on March 9, media outlets reported that TVXQ's Yunho was being investigated by police for having violated quarantine guidelines. According to reports, Yunho had stayed at a restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul until 12mn back in Febuary, and based on protocols in Seoul at that time, restaurants were only allowed to operate until 10pm.

Following the reports, both SM Entertainment and Yunho released an apology, and clarified that the idol did not flee the scene, with the police also releasing a statement that there was no physical conflict.

It was also revealed that the restaurant Yunho was drinking at was actually an unauthorized entertainment business that had been registered as a general restaurant.

After several months, Yunho released a second apology on September 2 through his Instagram.

Yunho apologizes to everyone who was disappointed in him due to incident, "As a person who received love from many people, I want to apologize once again for not following the quarantine guidelines by meeting with my friends until after 10pm in February. I apologize for having caused a lot of concern due to my negligence in not checking the places I visited."

He continues, "At that time, I was asked by my friend to discuss a concern he had, and I went there without being particularly attentive as I was just told that it was a place where we could quietly talk in private. I am so ashamed of myself and took the time to repent. I am still reflecting on it even now."

Yunho ends his apology by stating that he will reprimand himself even more and self-reflect so that an incident like this will not happen again in the future, and apologizes once again for causing concern due to his negligence.

TVXQ Yunho Avoids Criminal Punishment for Violating Quarantine Guidelines

According to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on September 2, they have requested the Gangnam District Office to press fines on 12 individuals, including TVXQ's Yunho, three guests, the president of the establishment, and the four employees for having violated quarantine guidelines.

Based on the guidelines set by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the violation of the current time restriction on business operations can be subjected to criminal punishment due to the Level 4 quarantine guidelines set in the area.

However, as of February this year, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has had no criminal punishment sentences, and those who violated business restrictions were only subjected to fines.

Instead, the prosecution had indicted the president of the establishment for violating the Food Sanitation Act, as well as press fines for negligence.
