aespa 'Next Level' Set for Release in 3 New Remix Versions

Get ready for three new remix versions of aespa's "Next Level"!

On Sept. 10, iScream officially announced through their Instagram account that they will release their "iScream Vol.10," which will feature new remixes of aespa's "Next Level."

"iScream" is a project launched by SM Entertainment's subsidiary EDM-focused agency, ScreaM Records. This project involves songs by SM artists getting remixed and released each month.

iScream features collaboration with lots of talented producers and DJs from South Korea and overseas countries.

The "iSream" project kicked off in May of last year when they released a remix version of NCT 127's "Kick It."

aespa's Next Level is Getting 3 New Remix Versions

aespa's "Next Level" was first released in May of this year. It is a remake of the official soundtrack of "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw," but the girl group recreated the song into a hip-hop dance track.

"Next Level" is aespa's third release since their debut in November 2020, following "Black Mamba" and "Forever."

aespa's remake song will be the tenth runner for the iScream project, following NCT Dream's "Hot Sauce" remix that was dropped in June of this year.

For the upcoming edition of iScream, aespa's "Next Level" will be released in three different remix versions, which will be produced by DJ IMLAY, DJ Habstrakt, and Lionclad.

IMLAY is not only a South Korean DJ but he is also a producer under SM Entertainment and ScreaM Records. He made his solo debut in February 2015 with the single "Gaze."

Habstrakt is a popular DJ from France. In 2018, he discovered dubstep and drum n bass music, and that's when he started to get involved in DJing and producing. He has since been touring as a DJ throughout Europe.

Lastly, Lionclad is a female South Korean producer and beatmaker. Her expertise includes finger drumming sets that combine elements of trip-hop, hip hop, and experimental ambient music. She released her solo debut album, titled "LIONCLAD," in 2016.

Meanwhile, all three remixes of aespa's "Next Level" are due out on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. KST via various music streaming sites.

aespa Next Level Becomes the 2021 Idol Group Song with the Most Digital Index on Gaon Chart

In other news, aespa's remake song "Next Level" has broken the record for the 2021 idol group song with the most digital points on the Gaon Chart.

On the Gaon Digital Chart for the week ending on Sept. 4, "Next Level" rose to No. 3 with 22,438,431 total index points.

Since it debuted on the Gaon Digital Chart in May, aespa's "Next Level" has now gained a total of 428,960,350 digital index points.

With this, "Next Level" is now the 2021 idol group song with the most digital index points on the Gaon Chart, surpassing BTS's "Butter."

In addition to this, aespa's "Next Level" is now the longest-running girl group song inside the Top 5 of the Gaon Digital Chart in history, spending 16 weeks on the tally.

The remake song has surpassed BLACKPINK's "DDU-DU DDU-DU" and Brave Girls' "Rollin'," which both recorded 12 weeks.
