How Does BLACKPINK Lisa Feel About Her Performance With iKON on 'Kingdom: Legendary War'?
On October 11, 2021, Teen Vogue published their interview with BLACKPINK member Lisa, who released her single album LALISA earlier this month.
During the interview, Lisa opened up about her performance with fellow labelmates, iKON, on the Mnet program Kingdom: Legendary War.
In her interview, Lisa stated that she had already wanted to perform with the boy group when she found that they were going to compete on Kingdom: Legendary War. She revealed that she was rooting her label mates. Talk about loyalty!
After hearing that they were going to perform a cover of BLACKPINK's song, Lisa revealed her happiness by being able to perform with the group. She also stated that her performance with iKON turned out "really nice."
Lisa appeared on the May 20, 2021 episode of Kingdom: Legendary War, where she performed with iKON for the third round of the program. iKON performed BLACKPINK's song Pretty Savage, which is a b-sidetrack found in the girl group's first studio album THE ALBUM.
iKON modified the lyrics and choreography, titling their performance CLASSY SAVAGE. The performance was able to help show off iKON's vocal and rap skills. Lisa made a brief but impactful performance, rapping her verse from the original song during the middle and peak of the performance. She was the group's special guest.
At the end of iKON's performance, the boy group performed a dance-break section that is highly reminiscent of performances by their YG Entertainment seniors BIGBANG. The performance was complete with a crowd of flag-waving backup dancers!
