BLACKPINK Lisa 'MONEY' Enters Top 10 of Billboard Global 200 and Excl. US, Attains Multiple Records

BLACKPINK Lisa Obtains Several Milestones as 'MONEY' Lands inside the Top 10 of Billboard Global 200 and Excl. US

On Oct. 18 local time, Billboard unveiled the songs that made it to the Top 10 of this week's Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US. One of the tracks is "MONEY" by BLACKPINK Lisa.

Notably, "MONEY" is the only Korean-language song inside the Top 10 of both Billboard charts.

On the Billboard Global 200 (dated Oct. 23, 2021), BLACKPINK Lisa's "MONEY" soared to No. 10 after debuting on the chart at No. 19.

According to Billboard, "MONEY" saw a 28 percent increase in streams (66.3 million) and saw a six percent decrease in digital sales (4,400).

This is the second time that Lisa entered the Billboard Global 200 Top 10, after "LALISA" debuted at No. 2 on the chart dated Sept. 25.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK Lisa's "MONEY" peaked at No. 7 on this week's Billboard Global Excl. US. The song also had a 28 percent rise in streams (61.5million) and is down by three percent in digital sales (3,000).

"MONEY" also becomes Lisa's second entry inside the Top 10 of Billboard Global Excl. US, following "LALISA" that debuted at No. 2 on the Sept. 25 chart.

With the new peaks of "MONEY" on both Billboard global charts, BLACKPINK Lisa becomes the only female K-pop artist to land multiple songs within the Top 10 of the two charts this 2021.

Lisa has also tied with her group BLACKPINK as the only female K-pop act with the most Top 10 entries on both Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. US, each having two songs.

For the overall record including a male K-pop artist, BLACKPINK Lisa becomes the third Korean artist to have multiple Top 10 entries on both the Billboard global charts, after BTS and BLACKPINK.

Moreover, BLACKPINK Lisa's "MONEY" becomes the first non-single song by a female K-pop artist in history to enter the Top 10 of Billboard Global Excl. US and Billboard Global 200.

It is also the second B-side song by a K-pop artist to hit the Top 10 of Billboard Global 200, following BTS's "Blue & Grey" that entered at No. 9.

BLACKPINK Lisa "MONEY" Becomes Second Highest-Charting Song on UK Official Singles Chart

In other news, BLACKPINK Lisa has obtained the second-highest rank among the tracks by female K-pop soloists on the United Kingdom's Official Singles Chart.

According to the newly updated Official Singles Chart Top 100, Lisa's "MONEY" climbed up to No. 59 for the week of Oct. 15 to 21. This chart ranks the most famous songs in the UK.

"MONEY" first entered the chart last week at No. 81. This means the song jumped up 22 places this week.

It now becomes the second highest-charting song by a female K-pop soloist on the UK Official Singles Chart in history.

The highest-ranking song by a female solo artist is BLACKPINK Rosé's "On the Ground," which landed and peaked at No. 43 earlier this year.
