Did Girls' Generation Sooyoung Date Actor Won Bin?
Back in December 2012, rumors had it that Girls' Generation member Sooyoung was dating Won Bin. The issue spread through the "Celebrity X Files" (X Files created by people working in the finance industry in South Korea and are about celebrities).
This source stated on their flyer that they would release a photo as proof of the two stars dating on their next issue, which is scheduled on Jan. 1, 2013.

According to the Korean media outlet Sports World, the rumor began as a joke. On a particular community message board, someone made a post titled "Exclusive: Won Bin Sooyoung (Sooyoung also means "swimming" in Korean). The picture included in the post shows the male actor swimming in a pool.

At first, SM Entertainment didn't release a statement regarding the matter because they believed there was no need to.
But, the company ultimately responded to the dating rumors of SNSD Sooyoung and Won Bin as it continuously spread through different social networking services. SM Entertainment clarified that the two aren't even friends and have never met one another, hence, the rumors are ridiculous.
Actor Won Bin's agency, Eden 9 Entertainment, also issued a response. They briefly said that the rumors are unfounded.

On Jan. 8, 2013, Sooyoung along with her fellow Girls' Generation members met with the press. There, she shared her thoughts about her dating rumors with actor Won Bin.
She stated that she laughed it off after hearing the news. She added that she has never met him, nor he has been with someone who looks like him.
SNSD Sooyoung further stated that the issue made her realize that she should be careful of what she says about others. She concluded that while it was an honor to be involved in a dating rumor with Won Bin, the actor is completely far from her ideal type.

At the time the dating rumor involving Girls' Generation Sooyoung and Won Bin broke out, the female idol was already dating Jung Kyung Ho.
In response to the issue, Jung Kyung Ho said that he didn't mind being dragged into an unforeseen love triangle. He added that he was delighted about being mistaken for someone as attractive as Won Bin.

In June of last year, Jung Kyung Ho sat down for an interview with Marie Claire Korea after the pictorial for the magazine's July issue.
During the talks, Jung Kyung Ho was asked what made him the person he is today, and his answer involved his girlfriend SNSD Sooyoung.
