The awards ceremony season is once again fast approaching! On December 4, one of the most prestigious music awards ceremonies in the K-pop scene, the MelOn Music Awards (hereinafter MMA), will be held, raising fans' anticipation.

As it will be conducted offline (for artists) and online (for viewers), K-pop enthusiasts anticipate possible interaction between K-pop artists that will attend the ceremony, just like in the past.

1. HyunA's legendary 'Lip & Hip' Performance

In 2017, the "K-pop's Sexy Queen" made the MMA stage hotter with her "Lip & Hip" performance. During the production number, HyunA danced to sexy and daring choreography, but the dance step that made viewers' jaws drop was when she lifted her boobs along with the "pop" sound.

That part didn't only become a hot topic but K-pop idols' reaction to her dance as well, and numerous reaction fan cam of idols were posted on sns platforms.

2. Wanna One's Speech at MMA 2018

In 2018, Wanna One won the "Best Record of the Year," which is an incredible feat for a rookie idol group. However, the award is not the only one that made this moment unforgettable but the group's speech.

As a project group that will only last for a year and a half, Wanna One thanked their fans for making their dreams come true and mentioned how they don't have much time left to be together, making even non-Wannables (Wanna One fandom) be touched by the scene.

3. SHINee Winning Their First-Ever Daesang at MMA 2013

Five years after their debut in 2008, SHINee snagged their first-ever Daesang (Grand Prize) at the awards ceremony after they won "Artist of the Year" with its hit track, "Everybody."

When the winner was announced, SHINee members were extremely surprised, and they eventually broke out into tears during their speech. Thankfully, EXO also came up the stage to comfort their seniors, making it a heartwarming moment for both Shawols (SHINee fandom) and EXO-Ls (EXO fandom).

4. EXO Suho being Red Velvet's No. 1 Fan

It is not a secret that Suho admired its junior girl group Red Velvet a lot, and it became more evident at MMA 2017.

In particular, Red Velvet Irene was giving their speech on stage when the camera turned to Chanyeol, who mouthed, "Ah...she's pretty," causing the audience to go wild.

Both flustered, Irene gave the audience a shy smile, while Chanyeol tried to hide in his hands due to embarrassment.

6. Former Wanna One Jisung 'Scolding' Jihoon for 'Betraying' Him at MMA 2017

While EXO Suho was fanboying over Red Velvet, another fanboy Jisung was dancing to the girl group's hit track "Red Flavor" as well.

Fans then saw the male idol discussing the dance step to Jihoon while waiting for the chorus, but when the camera turned to the two idols, Jisung was the only one who danced, and the latter idol showed a face like he didn't know him.

Feeling betrayed, Jisung playfully scolded Jihoon, which drew laughter to both K-pop idols and viewers.

7. BTS Jungkook and IU moments at MMA 2017

Even on their rookie days, BTS Jungkook is not shy to admit how he admires the "Nation's Sweetheart" IU a lot. In the awards ceremony, fans literally can't help but swoon over their cute moments!

When IU gave her speech, that one fanboy, who is none other than Jungkook, transformed into the most attentive listener.

While the female singer is talking, the male idol would also give his responses such as shaking his head when IU mentioned that she talked so much, showing sympathy when IU narrated her work and sacrifices, and even smiling the brightest to the female star when she stumbled into her words!
