On November 25, aespa performed at the 2021 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, USA. The girls performed their most recent hit, "Savage." While many were happy to see the girls perform on a stage abroad, the girl group received a flurry of criticisms due to their lip-syncing.
However, many defended the girl group, stating the program conditions do not allow them to sing live. People also claimed the weather in New York at the time was freezing, and aespa had to wear their stage costumes that did not suit the weather.

While many were critical of aespa's performance, that did not stop internet users from fawning over Karina's visuals at the event. Following the Thanksgiving Day Parade, several photos of Karian were shared to online community forums, with many praising the female idol for her doll-like visuals.
During the event, people claimed Karina shined every moment of the parade. With her blue hair, Karina stood out with her fairy-like aura. In addition, people claimed that her "AI" visuals shine even more when you see her in real life and that her photos do not do her justice because she is more beautiful in real life.

With her tiny face, big eyes, pretty mouth, combined with her simple braided hairstyle and black furry jacket, Karina overwhelms passers-by with her surreal beauty. Even when the weather became colder and the members of aespa were all seen struggling due to the weather, Karina still looked flawless in every photo taken of her. Whether waving at fans or simply enjoying the view of the parade, Karina always looked good no matter what the angle.
