BIGBANG Taeyang and Actress Min Hyo Rin Confirmed to Have Welcome the Birth of Their Son
On December 6 KST, media outlet Hankuk Ilbo released an exclusive report stating that BIGBANG member Taeyang and his wife and actress, Min Hyo Rin, have recently given birth to a healthy baby boy; thus making Taeyang the first member of BIGBANG to become a father.
Following reports of the birth of their first child, Taeyang's agency YG Entertainment confirmed the reports, saying, "It is true that Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin had a baby boy."
The news that Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin will become parents was announced back on September 27, with Min Hyo Rin's agency Plum ANC saying, "It is true that Min Hyo Rin is about to give birth. She is waiting for her child with a happy heart."
In other news, Taeyang debuted as a member of BIGBANG back in 2006 and celebrated the group's 15th anniversary this year.
Min Hyo Rin also made her debut in the same year as a model for a clothing brand and received great attention for her appearances in films such as "Sunny," "Twenty," and "The Grand Heist," and as a cast member of KBS' "Sister's Slam Dunk" back in 2016.

The two met on-set while filming for the music video of Taeyang's solo song "1AM," where she starred opposite the BIGBANG member as his lover.
In 2013, Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin were confirmed to be dating. After four years of dating, the two became engaged in 2017, with Taeyang announced the news of their engagement through his social media, with the caption saying, "I made an oath to spend the rest of my life with Min Hyo Rin, who has always been by my side for the past four years."
They later got married in a private church ceremony in February 2018. Just a month after their wedding, Taeyang enlisted for his mandatory military service in March, where he served 21 months as an active duty soldier.
Meanwhile, Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin are currently living in a luxury villa in the neighborhood of Hannam-dong in Seoul.

BIGBANG Taeyang's Latest Release
As a solo artist, it has been years since Taeyang released any music. Prior to enlisting back in 2018, Taeyang had released his third studio album "White Night" in August 2017, which featured his double lead singles "Wake Me Up" and "Darling."
"White Night" went on to land at No. 1 on Billboard's World Digital Albums chart, making Taeyang the second K-Pop solo artist to do so, with "Wake Me Up" ranking at No. 5 on the World Digital Songs chart.
As a part of BIGBANG, the group's latest release was their digital single "Flower Road," which was meant to be a goodbye song following T.O.P, G-Dragon, Daesung, and Taeyang's enlistments.
