When Did Girl's Day Hyeri Start Dating H.O.T. Tony Ahn?
In April 2013, the dating news involving Girl's Day member Hyeri and H.O.T member Tony Ahn shook the entire K-pop industry. At that time, Hyeri was only 20 years old while Tony was 36 years old, which means they have a 16-year age gap and this is what surprised many people the most.
According to the news released by the Korean media outlet Sports Seoul, Hyeri and Tony have been meeting only as senior and junior in the K-pop industry. However, the two grew fond of each other and eventually became a couple.

Along with the report, the news outlet shared a few photos of the two idols on a date. These pictures were taken within two months of observing the two.
One of the photos shows H.O.T. member Tony waiting for Girl's Day member Hyeri near the latter's agency. The female idol can be seen looking around cautiously before getting into the male idol's car, which then took off to Olympic Road.
The other picture shows the two idols stopping by a cafe with an amazing view of the Han River. Reportedly, they spent time drinking tea and talking. Tony Ahn would smile happily while looking at Hyeri, who would showcase aegyo to her boyfriend.

In the third image, the two returned to Hyeri's agency. Tony stayed for a while until Hyeri entered the building.
According to Sports Seoul, Girl's Day Hyeri and H.O.T. Tony started dating in March 2013. The stars' respective agencies later confirmed that the two are indeed in a relationship.
According to Tony Ahn's company, the male idol was attracted to Hyeri's bright personality and good manners. Meanwhile, Hyeri's label said that Hyeri was attracted to Tony's considerate and outgoing personality.
Why Did Girl's Day Hyeri and H.O.T Tony Break Up?
In November 2013, just eight months since they began dating, it was announced that Hyeri and Tony Ahn have broken up.
According to Girl's Day's company, the two idols ended their relationship and decided to continue with a junior-senior relationship. They added that the reason for their breakup is their busy schedules, which led them to become distant from each other.

Tony Ahn's label also released a statement where they said that even after they broke up, they've remained comfortable with each other and don't feel awkward.
One month before Girl's Day Hyeri and H.O.T Tony's breakup, the male idol participated in the filming of MBC's "Quiz to Change the World," where he revealed that he and Hyeri once tried to stop seeing each other during the early stage of their relationship.
He unveiled that they almost broke up because of their 16-year age gap. He, in fact, deleted her phone number off his phone and suggested that they end their relationship. However, because of something that Hyeri did afterward, they decided to get back together.
