ITZY Begins Countdown for Their Japanese Debut

JYP Entertainment, ITZY's managing agency, declared that the five-member girl group will release their album "IT'z ITZY" on December 22.

Prior to this, the Japanese version of "WANNABE" was released last November 1, while "LOCO" Japanese version was unveiled on December 1.

On November 12, the girls appeared on TV Asahi's "Music Station," Japan's representative music show, before making their official Japanese debut.

On December 18 at 6 PM (KST), the girls held their online live "ITZY JAPAN DEBUT SHOWCASE "IT'z ITZY," where they performed "WANNABE," "ICY," and "LOCO" Japanese versions.

During the live stream, the girls answered a quiz to see how well they knew each other. Moreover, they communicated closely with their fans by answering the questions asked by the host.

ITZY Heats the Stage at the 2021 KBS Gayo Daechukje

On December 17, the 2021 KBS Gayo Daechukje was held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, hosted by ASTRO Cha Eun Woo, AOA Seolhyun, and SF9 Rowoon.

ITZY gave off sexy girl charms during their performance at the 2021 KBS Gayo Daechukje stage, clad in an all-black outfit that gave a little point with silver decorations.

The intense choreography, combined with Ryujin's powerful rap, was enough to attract attention. Colorful stage decorations were also added in the second half of the stage.

ITZY Yuna and Chaeryong Join the F9 Unit

A collaboration stage was held with visual members who are members of popular girl groups, such as ITZY, STAYC, Red Velvet, and more, and the group was named F9.

"F9" means "flower nine," consisting of nine girls that came from different girls groups: Brave Girls Yuna, ITZY Yuna and Chaeryeong, IVE Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin, Oh My Girl Jiho, Red Velvet Wendy and STAYC Yoon and Sieun.

ITZY Yuna stated that F9 contains the meaning of nine people as pretty as flowers.

The girls performed the cover of Girls' Generation's song "Cheer Up." They exuded cute charms during their performance.

Because of the success of F9's performance, many are wondering when they will perform together once again.

On the other hand, the 2021 KBS Gayo Daechukje delivered a special gift and message to the viewers under the theme of "WITH," meaning everyone will move forward together even through the COVID-19 pandemic's ongoing situation.

Meanwhile, ITZY's official Japanese debut will be on December 22. Concept images for the group's upcoming debut can be found on ITZY's official Japanese Twitter accounts.
