Where are the Eliminated 'Girls Planet 999' Contestants Now? Trainees Who Will Debut in 2022 + Activities of Famous Participants

After its premiere in August 2021, Mnet's "Girls Planet 999" became one of the hottest survival shows in the music scene, which introduced 99 talented and prospective stars. 

As the show went on until October, viewers chose their individual picks, and numerous trainees such as Kawaguchi Yurina, Fu Yaning, Cai Bing, Suyeon and more rose into popularity.

However, among them, only nine trainees were able to debut as Kep1er, a multinational group formed through the show, and unfortunately, the aforementioned names failed to make it to the final lineup.

Two months after the show concluded, what happened to the eliminated contestants from "Girls Planet 999" and where are they now?

Here are the Current Status of Some Eliminated 'Girls Planet 999' Trainees:

1. Billlie Sheon

Kim Suyeon, who was loved for her incredible charisma despite few exposures during the show, joined the girl group Billlie in November. To start anew, Suyeon promotes under the stage name Sheon and became Billlie's seventh and last member.

2. Nonaka Shana

The main vocalist material who was often praised by Onestar will also make her debut in the first half of 2022. Prior to this, she became a trainee for two years under MLD Entertainment, home to MOMOLAND and T1419. Earlier she was introduced as the first member who will join the agency's new girl group.

3. Chang Ching, Kishida Ririka, Lee Yunji and Hayase Hana

On December 24, FC ENM also confirmed the news that they will launch a new girl group in the first half of 2022.

Among its trainees, Kishida Ririka, Chang Ching, Lee Yunji and Hayase Hana who established initial familiarity through "Girls Planet 999" were announced to be the members of the group.

4. Kawaguchi Yurina

Currently, Yurina has been actively promoting various beauty and fashion brands, such as YSLbeauty, Milkfed Japan and Fendi.

As one of the most popular trainees during the show, many K-pop fans are still waiting for her debut. However, Oscar Promotions is yet to release further details about her singing and acting career.

5. Fu Yaning

Although her first impression of the show was not that impressive, Fu Yaning eventually captured viewers' hearts with her charms and skills.

After being eliminated from the show during the finale, Fu Yaning released her second solo digital single, "Starlight," on December 27.

On top of this, Fu Yaning, who is now promoting as Jessie Fu, also debuted as an actress with her first acting project iQiyi's "My Heart." She landed on her second drama, "The Flowers Are Blooming," in the same year, where she played a supporting role.

6. Su Rui Qi

After joining "Girls Planet 999, " Su Rui Qi who debuted as Chic Chili in 2018, returned to Instagram and hinted at a solo endeavor. She initially debuted as a soloist in 2019, and this year, the idol has released two new singles, "Seize the Light" and "The Phoenix."
