36th Golden Disc Awards Announces Complete Final Lineup of Performers
On Jan. 5, the 36th Golden Disc Awards revealed on their official website the full lineup of artists who will make the event more memorable with their fantastic performances. A total of 16 acts have confirmed their attendance.
During the awards show's broadcast this week, viewers can expect performances from senior K-pop groups such as Big Mama, BTS, Brave Girls, Oh My Girl, and SEVENTEEN. Junior artists like aespa, ENHYPEN, STAYC, The Boyz, Stray Kids and TXT will also attend the event.

Aside from idol groups, the 36th Golden Disc Awards will also include stages of renowned soloists such as IU, Heize, Jeon Somi, Lim Young Woong and Lee Mu Jin.
This will be the first time that Brave Girls and Lee Mu Jin will appear on the awards show after their respective songs gained lots of attention from fans in 2021.
All of the performers at the 36th Golden Disc Awards are also nominees in several categories, such as the "Digital Song Main Award (Bongsang)," "Album Main Award (Bonsang)" and "ROTY" (Rookie of the Year)."

The nominees in the Album Main Award category are albums that have at least six new songs - excluding intros, outros and instrumentals. OSTs and projects from TV shows are not considered as well.
Moreover, the final winners for the Bonsang (Main Award) and the Daesang (Grand Prize) are selected based on sales count (60%) until mid-December 2021 and on the expert panel's scoring (40%). Meanwhile, the winner for the Popularity Award is determined wholly by votes.
The 36th Golden Disc Awards will take place on Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. KST and will air via JTBC, JTBC2 and JTBC4. The hosts for this year's awards ceremony will be Lee Seunggi, Sung Sikyung and Lee Dahee.

On Jan. 3, the list of stars who will present awards at the 36th Golden Disc Awards was released, and they are all well-known actors and actresses who starred in popular K-dramas of 2021.

The lineup includes Park Hee Soon, Jung Woo Sung, Jin Seo Yeon, Joo Ji Hoon, Goo Kyo Hwan, Jeon Jong Seo, Woo Do Hwan, Lee Do Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Si Eon, Jun So Min, Ahn Bo Hyun, Han Sun Hwa, Han Chae Young and Shin Hyun Been.
In particular, Jung Woo Sung will return as a presenter at the awards ceremony for the first time in two years, while this is the first time that Goo Kyo Hwan will attend the event since his debut.
Meanwhile, the 36th Golden Disc Awards will mark the first time that Woo Do Hwan will greet the fans since his military discharge on Jan. 5. He has been chosen as the first presenter and will announce his official return to the entertainment industry.
