It's been exactly ten years since Xiumin was introduced as the seventh member of EXO. To commemorate this memorable day of our frost prince, here are five reasons why EXO will not be EXO without their "ace" member, Xiumin!

On January 25, 2012, Kim Minseok, prominently known as Xiumin, was introduced to the public as EXO member. With his charming, feline-like eyes, the idol immediately earned the love of K-pop fans.

5 Reasons Xiumin is EXO's Ace

1. EXO Xiumin has amazing vocals!

Xiumin may not be the main vocalist of the group, but his incredible vocals prove he is worthy to be part of EXO's vocal line. Despite having a few lines in some of their songs, Xiumin never fails to showcase his honey-like yet strong and rich voice.

In 2016, Xiumin's vocals garnered more praises when he debuted as a member of EXO-CBX, the first sub-unit of the group, which means he got more lines and screentime.

In 2019, Xiumin released his first digital single, "You," and with his performance, it is clear that Xiumin deserves to release a solo album!

2. Xiumin is an actor.

Aside from being an idol, Xiumin also established his name as a talented actor, may it be on the big screen or musical!

In 2016, the "Growl" singer made his acting debut through the film, "Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River." Indeed, Xiumin surprised viewers with his acting and his role as Gyeon fits him perfectly!

As a musical actor, Xiumin also cemented his presence in the musical industry through "School of Oz" (2015), "Return: The Promise of the Day" (2020), and "Hadestown" (2021).

3. Yes, Xiumin can rap!

Xiumin's voice when singing ballads or slow songs is heavenly, but he can actually completely transform into a new persona when he raps.

Xiumin doesn't only rap with the beat and tempo, but he conveys every word emotionally and with conviction as if he's telling a story.

4. He is a talented dancer.

As a dancer, K-pop fans can't deny that Xiumin can become part of EXO's dance line if he wants to. He has a unique "groove" and "swag" that fans can't resist.

When you watch him dance, you just find yourself smiling.

Oh, and remember when he single-handedly performed a medley of EXO's songs? 'Cause he can!

5. Obviously, he's a visual!

Last but definitely not least, Xiumin is undoubtedly a visual idol!

During EXO's pre-debut, people thought he was the maknae (youngest member) due to his youthful appearance. He was also loved for his cute and chubby look.

Fast forward to present, Xiumin seems he never ages and even looks even younger with his upgraded visuals and physique. Due to this, it's an inside joke among EXO-Ls that Xiumin might really drink from the fountain of youth!

Nevertheless, it is a fact that then and now, Xiumin can put everyone in a frenzy with his beauty.
