Jeon Somi Shares First Photo as Converse Korea’s New Ambassador
Jeon Somi is the newest ambassador for Converse Korea!
The Canadian-Dutch-Korean singer is set to make an appearance at Converse Korea's "Create Next? Do Not Fight" campaign on Monday, Feb. 7. The campaign will also feature other artists as they go in search of their happiness without focusing too much on winning or losing.
But even before the event, Jeon Somi already gave her fans a glimpse of what she looks like in her black Chuck Taylors. The singer paired her footwear with a printed black crop top and khaki pants.

Red Velvet Seulgi, BTS Collaborate With Converse Korea
Jeon Somi isn't the only K-pop idol who has collaborated with Converse Korea. In May 2020, Red Velvet also shared what it was like working with the shoe brand.
During an interview, they said that Red Velvet member Seulgi was tapped to be the official ambassador for Converse Korea. This was such a huge recognition for the singer because the brand has not teamed up with a female ambassador since 2018.
Since Seulgi is also an artist, she decided to accept the role because it also meant having the opportunity to design her own pair of shoes.

On May 19, 2020, the singer-designer shared photos of the shoes that she created for Converse Korea and in partnership with DreamWorks. The designs were inspired by the characters from the "Trolls" movie.
In 2018, Converse Korea also collaborated with BTS and Line Friends. The BT21 x Converse collection became available on July 27, 2018, which sold out within hours.
K-pop Idols Who Own Converse Shoes
Other K-pop idols who did not sign with Converse Korea were also photographed wearing their pair of Chuck Taylor shoes. This simply shows that they love the brand and the style of the classic shoe.
Stray Kids Han owns a pair of black Chuck Taylor shoes. BLACKPINK Jennie also rocked a Run Star Hike Converse sneakers.
Somi also owns a pair of sky-high Run Star Motion sneakers from Converse. TWICE Jeongyeon has the exact same pair but in a combination of white and blue colors.

Kim Wooseok of UP10TION has been photographed with two different Conserve shoes. One is his Run Star Hike shoes in black and white and the other is a purple version of the Run Star Hike shoes.
EXO Suho also owns a pair of black Run Star Hike shoes, which he wore together with his all-denim ensemble.
BTS Jungkook stunned in his blue Run Star Hike shoes that he wore during the group's 2021 Festa.
