Why Dating Rumors Between NCT Haechan and ITZY Ryujin Persist
Since 2021, NCT member Haechan and ITZY member Ryujin have been embroiled in dating rumors. In 2022, the rumors continue. Internet users spotted that during the Lunar New Year, the two idols may have hinted at their relationship.

The two idols took to their respective Bubble accounts and used the exact phrase "sleep tight" with the word "tight" extended. This unique way of typing is not common among South Koreans, leading people to speculate that the two use the same form of typing due to their close relationship.

In the past, the two used the uncommon word "egg flower" in their messages on Bubble and broadcasts. This led internet users to suspect that the two were influenced by each other's way of speaking because they were dating.

Soon, internet users found more evidence of their relationship. When ITZY was reacting to the music video for "LOCO," Ryujin responded emotionally to a scene where the character did not answer his girlfriend's call. The idol is heard saying, "Ah, this is a reflection of reality. He is not picking up his phone because he's playing."

Many were shocked that Ryujin pointed out such detail, with caused many to wonder if she experienced that scenario in real life.

In May 2021, Haechan was doing a live stream for fans. The idol opened his V Live app on his iPad during the broadcast. Many were shocked when he accidentally revealed that he only follows two accounts — NCT's and ITZY's. When he realized people could see his account, Haechan appeared flustered and tried to cool it.
Other alleged evidence, such as couple items, were also brought up to show the two were a couple.
Additionally, during ITZY's video call event on May 16, 2021, Ryujin is wearing a necklace from Tiffany & Co. Coincidentally, Haechan was browsing through the same store in April. Therefore, many speculated that Haechan bought Ryujin a necklace to signify their love.

As of writing, Haechan has not been confirmed to be publicly dating anyone. Though rumors about him dating Ryujin are rampant, it is safe to assume he is currently single.

While he did not go in-depth on his ideal type, the male idol revealed he wants to date someone with good vocals. He wants to be with someone who has a voice that is easy to listen to. Haechan also prefers short hair on girls. Coincidentally, Ryujin is a female idol known for her short hair!
