Red Velvet Wendy Praised Once Again for President's Awards From Obama
Red Velvet Wendy is once again commended for her "sexy brain" on top of her visuals and vocal prowess. In a recent broadcast, the singer earned high praises for the academic president's award she received from the Former U.S. President, Barack Obama!
Red Velvet Wendy Praised for 'Sexy Brain' Following Story of Earning President's Award
On SBS "Animal Farm," which aired on February 13, Red Velvet Wendy appeared as a special MC on behalf of Red Velvet Joy. In the show, the "Like Water" singer gained attention for being an "all-rounder" - having beauty, brains and skills!
During the broadcast, MC and former H.O.T Tony Ahn said he investigated Wendy and surprised her by saying, "I heard you won the U.S. Presidential Award in high school."
The host went on by praising Wendy for describing her as an "all-rounder" idol who can play golf and soccer, for cooking skills, piano, flute, and guitar, on top of her idol skills and visuals.
But being one of the most humble idols, Wendy shyly responded, "It's so embarrassing to hear it in person. But I like to challenge new fields and I'm often told that my taste is unique."

As soon as the broadcast was aired, internet users looked into Wendy's previous academic records and confirmed her President's Award for Academic.
The "Queendom" singer initially lived in Korea then moved to Canada to study. Later on, she moved to the U.S. and attended Shattuck-Saint Mary's in Minnesota.
At this school, Wendy was recognized as an honor student, who was also excellent in sports and leadership.
In 2009, the female idol received the award from Obama, known to be given to students with excellent leadership and grades. Her name joined the school's student's "Hall of Fame" for this reason.

Aside from her president's award, Wendy is also known for being a multilingual idol, who speaks Korean, English, Spanish and French. Her speculated IQ is about 140, and it was proven by her 3.93 average over 4.0. On top of that, her lowest grade in high school is B+.
But Wendy is not only admired for her smart brain, but her kindness as well. In the broadcast, the female star revealed she's like a counselor to her other members, particularly to Joy.
"I'm Joy's exclusive counselor. She usually confides in me about her worries or counseling, and she ran to me and asked me to appear (in the show) so I ran right away."
