Daisy Shaded MOMOLAND in New TikTok Video? Here's What Happened

On Friday, February 18, former MOMOLAND member Daisy uploaded a TikTok to her account. The video showed her dancing to the song "Major Bag Alert" by Damickey Lillard with the caption above her head reading, "K-pop groups when a member leaves the group."

The TikTok is meant to say that when a member leaves the group, they have one less person to split their income with, meaning they gain more money or "a major bag."

When she uploaded the video, she left a comment, "This may or may not be a joke."

Many people wondered if this was a shady TikTok meant for her former MOMOLAND members. Many comments praised the former idol for "spilling the tea."

People found it humorous that she could joke about this, as it is known that she was forcibly removed from MOMOLAND and forced to take a hiatus from group activities.

However, the former idol was also criticized for her TikTok entry. People wondered what Daisy had to gain by being indirect and noted that her company removed her from MOMOLAND and not the members themselves.

With that, they should not be shamed for earning more money due to a member leaving the group since it was not their fault Daisy left.

Daisy took to that same TikTok to address the comments, saying, "I don't get why you all are telling me to spill anything. I am not shading anyone, like, it is not a bad thing that people make more money due to this."

The TikTok is still on her account. As of writing, it has over 4 million views, 851,700 likes and 12,500 comments. It is currently the most viewed TikTok on her account.

Daisy's Debut and Withdrawal From MOMOLAND

Daisy joined MOMOLAND on March 28, 2017. She had previously competed on the show "Finding Momoland" in 2016, the show that created the group but did not make the line-up at the time. Her first release with the group was the single album "Wonderful Love."

In late 2019, Daisy was put on a hiatus, citing health reasons. However, she never returned to activities a year later.

In January 2020, Daisy had an interview with News9 and claimed that "Finding Momoland" was fraudulent and manipulated votes. She stated that after her elimination, the company arranged a meeting with her and claimed they would be adding her to the group.

Additionally, Daisy claimed that the agency never paid her wages while she was in MOMOLAND. When she stated she wanted to leave, MLD Entertainment demanded a settlement fee of 1 billion won.

MLD Entertainment denied these claims and said they would pursue legal action against Daisy.

As a result, she was removed from MOMOLAND on May 13.
