Best-Selling Albums in Korea (Week 9 of 2022): STAYC, TREASURE, NMIXX, More!

On March 4, Gaon Chart has released the list of best-selling albums in Korea during Week 9 of 2022, and it includes works from rookie groups like STAYC, TREASURE, and NMIXX, as well as senior artists including BTOB and BTS.

Best-Selling Albums in Korea (Week 9 of 2022): STAYC's "YOUNG-LUV.COM" Records Highest Sales

STAYC's "YOUNG-LUV.COM" is the album that sold the most copies in the past week (from Feb. 20 to 26), thus, it secured the No. 1 spot on the list.

This mini-album arrived on Feb. 21 along with the music video for the title track "RUN2U." It is the girl group's first music release in five months since they dropped their first EP "STEREOTYPE" in September of last year.

"YOUNG-LUV.COM" becomes the second album by a girl group released this 2022 to rank first on Gaon's Weekly Album Chart, following Kep1er's "FIRST IMPACT" (which took first place in Week 2).

Aside from this mini-album, the six-piece girl group also landed their previous works on Gaon's Weekly Album Chart, such as "Star To A Young Culture," "STAYDOM," and "STEREOTYPE."

Best-Selling Albums in Korea (Week 9 of 2022): TREASURE's "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE," NMIXX's "AD MARE," More Enter Top 5

TREASURE's "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" recorded the second-highest album sales from Feb. 20 to 26. Therefore, it secured the No. 2 spot, marking its second week on Gaon. The album first entered the tally at No. 1.

Released on Feb. 15, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" is the boy group's first mini-album and it consists of a total of six new songs including the title song "JIKJIN."

Given that it has already spent its second consecutive week on Gaon's Weekly Album Chart, this goes to show that TREASURE's mini-album is showing steady popularity in Korea.

In addition to the mini-album, TREASURE's first studio album "THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT" also entered the list at No. 89.

The third best-selling album in Korea for Week 9 of 2022 is NMIXX's "AD MARE," which came out on Feb. 22 alongside the music video for the title track "O.O."

Despite the many controversies surrounding them, the new JYP girl group managed to debut high on Gaon, which makes their ranking on the chart an impressive feat.

The two other albums that made it to the Top 5 of Gaon's Weekly Album Chart are also new entries. While BTOB's "Be Together" ranked No. 4, billlie's "the collective soul and unconscious: chapter one" landed at No. 5.
