On April 1, Oh My Girl was the guest on the latest episode of KBS 2TV's "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook," together with MAMAMOO Wheein and ONEWE.

Oh My Girl, who debuted back in 2015, will celebrate their eighth anniversary this April. At the time they stepped into the K-pop industry, the group did not garner massive attention from fans. Fortunately, they had their big break in 2017 with "Coloring Book" and saw further success in 2018 with "Secret Garden."

During the broadcast of "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook," show host Yoo Hee Yeol mentioned how it took a while for the girl group to receive attention.

He commented, "It took you a while to receive such an explosive love. Do you remember the first time you won first place on a music show?"

Oh My Girl Yubin replied, "In our fourth year in the industry, our song "Secret Garden" took first place [on a music show]."

Back on Jan. 23, 2018, Oh My Girl's "Secret Garden" went up against JBJ's "My Flower" and Kim Chungha's "Roller Coaster" for first place on SBS MTV's "The Show". The girl group eventually took the win with a score of 6,698 to JBJ's 6,160 and Chungha's 4,918.

When asked how they felt after attaining their first-ever music show win with "Secret Garden," Oh My Girl Hyojung told Yoo Hee Yeol, "It felt so good that I wanted to win again in the future. We were grateful."

She added, "We went through a crisis that almost led us to disbandment before 'Secret Garden' was released. 'Secret Garden' gave us another opportunity and I thought that time 'Oh, we can continue.'"

This is not the first time Oh My Girl mentioned their supposed disbandment prior to their success with "Secret Garden."

The girl group initially revealed that the company nearly disbanded them through an interview with Marie Claire back in October 2020.

At the time, Seunghee shared that they were warned that they would disband if their upcoming album ("Secret Garden") did not succeed.

She added that all the members went through a difficult time at the thought of parting ways if their next album won't do well. She confessed that she cried a lot just thinking about it.

Since their breakthrough with "Secret Garden," Oh My Girl's popularity has been on the rise with more viral songs such as "BUNGEE," "Nonstop," and "Dolphin."

In related news, Oh My Girl performed several songs during their appearance on the latest episode of "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook."

The girls first performed their latest comeback song "Real Love." This is the title track from their second full-length album of the same name. They then performed a bright cover of Lee Mu Jin's "Traffic Light."

They went on to treat fans and viewers with various mini-performances of "Banana Allergy Monkey" by Oh My Girl BANHANA.
