WJSN Bona Shares How 'Twenty Five Twenty One' Changed Her Idol Career
WJSN Bona, who played the role of Ko Yurim for the hit tvN drama, "Twenty Five, Twenty One" revealed how its popularity changed her career as an idol.

On April 5, WJSN member Bona who imprinted her name Kim Jiyeon in the acting scene held an interview with various Korean media outlets.
During the talk, the idol-actress who played the role of Ko Yurim for tvN's "Twenty Five, Twenty One" confessed her thoughts on being called either Bona or Jiyeon.
"I see a lot of regrets (when people were surprised to know that her main job is being an idol). In particular, in this work, the name 'Kim Jiyeon' stood out more than the existing name "Bona." There seems to be a wall or boundary between actors and idols, but I don't try to differentiate the meaning between Bona and Kim Jiyeon."
She added:
"There were opinions around me about using the name Kim Jiyeon, so I used it like that. I don't try to make a big difference or distinguish them."
Bona Hinted at How 'Twenty Five Twenty Once' Changed Her Idol Career
Although the star has these views, the public saw the gap between her career as an actress and idol.
In regards to this, Bona narrated how landing her role as Ko Yurim for the popular series brought more fans to WJSN. In particular, her idol fancams became a hot topic among drama supporters after recognizing that Kim Jiyeon is actually Bona from WJSN.
"I saw a response that they think Ko Yurim retired (as an athlete) and debuted as an idol. People around me would send a lot of links.
First of all, I was a little shy when my fancam came out. I was embarrassed because I looked so different from Yurim, but I liked it because positive reactions to the drama seemed to lead to the stage. There are a lot of good performances by WJSN, so I hope you show a lot of interest."
WJSN Bona Attested to Her Return as an Idol
Due to her acting activities, Bona temporarily halted her activities as an idol. Prior to the drama's finale, WJSN was also busy promoting for Mnet's reality show, "Queendom 2."
On this topic, Bona said:
"I think I'll be able to be with the members from the 3rd round of Queendom 2. [...] Because of personal activities, there is inevitably a long gap in group activities, so I try not to take a break as much as possible. We'll prepare well for the 3rd round, so please show us a lot of interest."
