In the latest episode of "Queendom 2," the remaining performances for round 1 was finally unveiled, and the rankings for the representative song battle has been announced!

'Queendom 2' Episode 2: WJSN, Kep1er, Brave Girls, and LOONA Perform Hit Tracks

On April 7, Mnet broadcasted the second episode of "Queendom 2," which features WJSN, Kep1er, and Brave Girls continuing with Round 1's representative song battle following Hyolyn and VIVIZ's performances in the previous week.

Last week, Hyolyn and VIVIZ began Round 1 by performing their representative songs. Hyolyn performed "Touch My Body," and VIVIZ performed GFRIEND's "Time for the Moon Night" and "Rough." LOONA, who was supposed to perform, was unable to join the filming following 11 of 12 members testing positive for COVID-19.

Beginning Episode 2, rookie girl group Kep1er performed their debut track "WA DA DA." As Kep1er only made their debut this year, this marks the group's first time performing in front of an audience.

In their interview, Kep1er also addressed the concern regarding the group joining the show as a way to be promoted after appearing on Mnet's survival program "Girls Planet 999."

To this, member Choi Yu Jin said, "This is something where no matter how much we say it isn't true, it won't work."

The group also said that they "can't just do well," but they "have to do better than others."

Kim Da Yeon added, "If we don't do well in the first round, it would seem like we just came on the program because we're the 'daughters of Mnet.' We want to put in all of our effort and show that we're a group that's here because we're skilled."

Next is Brave Girls, who performed a remix of their hit and viral song "Rollin'" and "Chi Mat Ba Ram."

Initially, Brave Girls didn't want to choose a song that was obvious as "Rollin'." However, as it is inevitably their most popular song, they believe they had to perform, but show a different image.

For their performance, Brave Girls decided to emphasize more on their dance and performance. Member Yuna said, "When you look at the comments, they are all like, 'Aren't Brave Girls all in their thirties?' I want to break that stereotype."

As for WJSN, they expressed their frustration at not having popular songs among the public and always being in the middle. Hence, they also expressed their desire to break that streak.

For this round, WJSN decided to perform their track "As You Wish." Unfortunately, member Eunseo tested positive for COVID-19 a week before the competition. However, the group still made use of her vocals.

'Queendom 2' Episode 2: Round 1 Representative Song Battle Rankings

Following the five performances, the audience present began voting for their top two favorite performances. The groups also did a self-evaluation and picked the groups that they think is one rank above and one rank below them. Round 1's winner is determined using votes from the live audience, global audience, and the self-evaluation.

Kep1er, Hyolyn, and Brave Girls chose VIVIZ as the group ranking below them, while VIVIZ chose WJSN, and WJSN chose Kep1er.

As for the vote ranking, the results are:

1. Hyolyn - 10,000 points

2. WJSN - 7,141 points

3. VIVIZ - 5,837

4. Kep1er - 4,701

5. Brave Girls - 4,116

6. LOONA - N/A

As LOONA was unable to perform live, they received zero points and automatically placed sixth. However, Mnet belatedly revealed LOONA's performance of "PTT (Paint the Town)."

The next mission for Round 1 was revealed to be a cover song battle, and each group must interpret and cover another artist's song.

Hyolyn chose to cover LOONA, WJSN chose VIVIZ, and Kep1er and Brave Girls have to swap with each other.

Meanwhile, the next episode of "Queendom 2" will broadcast on at 9:20pm on April 14 KST.
