In episode nine of "Queendom 2," Kep1er's Choi Yujin suddenly shed tears after seeing WJSN's Bona.

Kep1er was the first group to return to the voting announcement room during the episode. When all of the members were seated, Kim Daeyeon asked Choi Yujin why she had cried earlier that day.

In response, Choi Yujin revealed that she had known Bona since they were in middle school. When she saw her again backstage, she started crying before realizing what was happening.

The scene then shows the two meeting and hugging backstage. Bona happily remarks that she is happy to see someone who she knows and compliments Kep1er's performance.

Choi Yujin then tells Bona that she is the leader of Kep1er. Though Bona is only one year older than Choi Yujin, she remarks, "But you are still a baby!" Bona then asks Choi Yujin if it is hard being a leader.

After asking if she is okay, Choi Yujin suddenly burst into tears. At this, Bona asks why she is crying and reaches in to hug her. Yeoreum, who is standing next to Bona and watching the two's heartwarming reunion, appears surprised and comforts Choi Yujin as well.

Bona then tells Choi Yujin not to cry, joking that she will also end up crying. In response, Choi Yujin replies that it has been a long time since the two have seen each other, which Bona acknowledges.
How Do WJSN Bona & Kep1er Choi Yujin Know Each Other?
On the show, Choi Yujin mentions that she has known Bona ever since she was a middle school student. She tells the other Kep1er members that they used to train together.

At this, Kim Chaehyun comments that it must have felt strange to meet someone you used to train with as an idol.
Both Choi Yujin and Bona were trainees under CUBE Entertainment. Bona trained under the company for six years before transferring to Starship Entertainment, where she trained for a year.

The two idol's training times overlapped, meaning they were trainees at the same time. However, they ultimately did not debut in the same group. Choi Yujin debuted in CLC in 2015 under CUBE Entertainment, while Bona debuted with WJSN in 2016.
