On June 24, Nayeon will officially debut as a soloist. In line with the release, JYP Entertainment has been releasing teasers to promote her release. As one of the most multi-talented faces in K-pop, with stunning visuals, unique vocals, and excellent dance lines, many anticipate her solo debut.

However, following the release of her debut teaser, Nayeon was immediately compared to Jennie and the latter's concept for her debut with "SOLO." People also believed that Nayeon's solo concept resembles Jennie's pictorial with W Magazine for their November 2020 issue.

Why do people think this? Many believe that Nayon's make-up is similar to how Jennie does her.
Additionally, the high-class, luxurious, soft concept was used by Jennie to promote "SOLO," and people believe Nayeon's concept closely overlaps with Jennie's. The same color composition was also seen in both idol's concepts.

Many supporters of Nayeon are saying it is merely a coincidence, but many believe that the overall vibe of Nayeon's solo debut concept is similar to Jennie's. Some added that though Jennie does not own the concept, but she was the one who popularized it through her debut.

"Jennie did not invent the style, concept, or make-up look, but she popularized it through her solo debut since it totally matches her. So when I first saw Nayeon's teaser, I immediately thought of Jennie."

JYP Entertainment has not responded to the claims.
