On June 7, H1-KEY released a teaser image for H1-KEY's first comeback since their debut. The photo features silhouettes of four girls, implying that the group will return with an additional member after Sitala left the team this past May.

On June 14 at midnight KST, H1-KEY introduced their new member, Hwiseo, through comeback concept photos for their first maxi single album "RUN." A question-and-answer session with her was also issued on the same day to let fans know more about her.

First, Hwiseo was asked how she feels about joining H1-KEY as a new member. The rookie idol answered, "It feels new and overwhelming because it's like I have a good older sister and younger brother. I spent almost half of my life practicing, and there were many times when my debut was canceled."

She continued, "But because I didn't give up and worked hard, I feel like my dream has finally come true, so I want to say to myself, 'You worked hard.' And I want to thank everyone, including my family, who patiently waited for my debut."
The interviewer then asked Hwiseo, "What was your first impression of each of the H1-KEY members?" to which she replied, "Unnie Seoi was like a really pretty princess doll. She is easygoing, neat, and organized."

She added, "Unnie Riina stood out with her white and clear skin. I want to thank her for talking to me a lot so that I can adjust quickly. The youngest, Yel, is so tall. Although she is shy, she took care of me a lot, and since she liked my style, such as my clothes and bags, we were able to communicate well."
In the middle of the interview, H1-KEY Hwiseo was asked to name her role model, and she revealed that it's (G)I-DLE member Jeon Soyeon. She explained, "She is an all-rounder who has the ability to write lyrics, compose, and produce. Also, I want to become an artist like her who resonates with the public."
With (G)I-DLE Soyeon's impeccable and versatile talent, which she has been showcasing since her debut, it's no wonder why Hwiseo looks up to her.

At the end of the interview, H1-KEY Hwiseo was asked to give a message to the fans. She said, "Hello. This is Hwiseo who will debut through H1-KEY's first maxi single "RUN." In the future, I will grow into an artist who can bring happiness to M1-KEY (fandom name), so please look forward to it. Let's see each other for a long time, healthy and happy, and filled with only good memories. Thank you."
Meanwhile, H1-KEY will drop their maxi single "RUN" on July 5 at 6 p.m. KST. The group will drop more teasers later this week.

Born on July 31, 2002, Hwiseo's real name is Jo Hwi Hyeon. She will be part of H1-KEY's vocal line. She used to be a trainee at YG Entertainment's subsidiary label, THE BLACK LABEL, which currently houses several solo artists, such as Jeon Somi, Zion.T, Løren, and Vince.
Additionally, Hwiseo attended Hanlim Multi Arts School, where she was under its practical dance department. She graduated in 2021.
