This past May, SM Entertainment officially announced that the legendary girl group will drop a new album in August to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut in 2007. The album will mark an end to their five-year hiatus since their sixth studio album "Holiday Night" came out in August 2017.

Usually, when K-pop groups are about to drop a new album, the pre-order begins one month before its official release. But SM Entertainment is yet to announce the start of pre-orders for SNSD's upcoming album. The company is also yet to release any teasers for their return.

Due to lack of updates, SONE (SNDS's fan club) took to Twitter to voice out their concerns, and to trend the hashtag "#SMTREATSNSDBETTER" and the phrase "SM, WHERE'S SNSD'S TEASER?." Considering that SNSD is one of the top girl groups in the K-pop industry, fans demand better treatment for the team.

Another fan stated, "After everything SNSD has done- their legacy, reputation & contributions to the industry combined, SM should be ashamed of what they are doing right now."

The other SONE commented, "The mere fact that the members initiated this comeback themselves, most of the planning + brainstorming, and even went out of their ways to align their schedules. There is so much SM can do. This is only the bare minimum that we are demanding."
