Blockberry Creative Involved in Issues With LOONA Chuu
This year, Blockberry Creative has been mired with criticism following the label's ongoing issues with LOONA member Chuu. Back in March 2022, Chuu had reportedly filed to suspend her exclusive contract with the label. Concerns were also raised when it was found that Blockberry Creative had filed for the trademark rights of "LOONA's Chuu" and "Chuu."
In June, Blockberry Creative then announced that Chuu would not be participating in LOONA's upcoming first-ever world tour "LOONATHEWORLD," citing scheduling conflicts as the reason. In the same month, rumors of Chuu planning to sign with a new label surfaced. Media outlets reported that the LOONA member is discussing an exclusive contract with BY4M Studio.

Blockberry Creative also became under suspicion of mistreating Chuu, after a longtime fansite master of the idol raised concerns that Chuu has been enduring Blockberry Creative's mistreatment, which includes not giving her a manager during her individual schedules.
Later, a clip of Chuu reacting to LOONA's world tour went viral on social media, which spurred fans support for the idol to leave the label.
In response to the allegations of mistreatment, Blockberry Creative denied the rumors and announced their plans to take legal action.

LOONA Chuu's Absence From Upcoming Group Activities Spark Criticism
But now, Blockberry Creative's alleged mistreatment of Chuu is once again being highlights. Recently on July 25, the label announced that not only will Chuu be absent from LOONA's world tour, but she will also not be joining in their second Japanese single "LUMINOUS," as well as their first concert in Tokyo. Once again, they cited scheduling conflicts as the reason.
Blockberry Creative's statement read:
"We thank you for your continued supported for LOONA.
Due to LOONA member Chuu's pre-determined individual schedule for the latter half of the year, we are announcing that she will not be participating in the promotional activities for LOONA's second Japanese single 'LUMINOUS,' as well as LOONA's first 'LOONATHEWORLD in TOKYO' concert to be held on October 1st.
We apologize to the fans who were waiting for LOONA's activities in Japan for having to make such a sudden announcement.
In addition, the members are currently preparing for their activities in Japan to the best of their efforts, so please continue to give your support to them.
Again, we would like to apologize to fans who support LOONA for having to make such a sudden announcement. We will support LOONA's Japanese activities to the best of our abilities.
We would appreciate your understanding.
Thank you."
Following the announcement, fans expressed their outrage and confusion at Chuu's "pre-determined schedule" that is keeping her from performing with her group.

Many fans have once again criticized the label for not organizing LOONA and Chuu's schedules in a way that these don't overlap with each other. Many also believe that the label excluding Chuu from promoting with LOONA not only hurts the idol, but fans as well.
Now, fans are demanding for Blockberry Creative to explain more about the pre-determined schedules that is preventing Chuu from fulfilling her job as an idol.
As of now, Blockberry Creativea has yet to respond to the backlash.
