5 K-pop Idols Who Hate Their Own Songs
More often than not, many K-pop idols don't get much say in the songs they are given and made to perform. It is especially difficult to turn down a song when you are in a group and new in the industry. While idols are allowed to make their own music, there are still those made by others. Because of this, some idols end up hating their own songs.
With that, here are some K-pop idols who have openly expressed their dislike for some of their own songs!
1. Taeyeon - Girls' Generation's 'Gee'

"Gee" is undeniably one of Girls' Generation's most popular songs, and it easily gets stuck in our heads! But did you know? Taeyeon actually hated this song the first moment she heard it! She thought the song was so bad, that she even opposed releasing and performing it. In fact, she even cried because of how much she hated it. Despite hating the song, she still treasures "Gee" as it's part of the group's legacy.
2. Key - SHINee's 'Ring Ding Dong'
SHINee 'Ring Ding Dong'
Whether you're a new or old K-pop fan, there's a high chance you have heard of SHINee's song "Ring Ding Dong," and an even higher chance that it got stuck in your head on repeat. And that's exactly the reason as to why member Key hates the song and performing it. Not only does he hear it in his head all the time, but it doesn't suit his musical taste.

3. JooE - MOMOLAND's 'Bboom Bboom'

Years ago, "Bboom Bboom" went viral all around the world and made MOMOLAND see a rise in their popularity. Despite "Bboom Bboom" going viral and becoming the group's representative song, member JooE actually hated it at first. When she first heard the song's demo, she immediately hated it due to the concept and even asked her company if it was possible not to perform it. But after "Bboom Bboom" got rearranged, she eventually developed an affection for it.
4. Suzy - miss A's 'I Don't Need A Man'

Former miss A member Suzy had revealed in the past that she wasn't too fond of performing their 2013 track "I Don't Need A Man." According to Suzy, miss A didn't have a lot of male fans back then, as they mostly had female fans for their strong and independent image. And with that kind of song title, it would have made gaining male fans even more difficult.
5. Jeongyeon - TWICE's 'TT'
TWICE 'TT'
Although Jeongyeon doesn't exactly hate TWICE's song "TT," she does dislike it due to the dance moves. According to Jeongyeon, she dislikes the song because she hated doing its signature dance move during the line "just like TT." As she was in her early twenties at the time of the song's release, she found the dance moves too cute, which was something she didn't want to do.
