On Sept. 1, BTS V took to Weverse to share with fans, "I went and came back without getting hurt and healthy. I took a lot of pictures for ARMYs to see, I'll post them in a bit." The idol was pertaining to the photos he captured during his visit to New York City.
On Sept. 6, the "Dynamite" singer updated his personal Instagram account with the images he was talking about. It can be seen that V went to different places during his stay and anyone can assume that he had a lot of fun.
Among the photos, three of them garnered the most attention as fans and netizens were quick to compare them with the pictures that BLACKPINK Jennie posted on her personal Instagram account.

In particular, one netizen created a post on Nate Pann to compare one picture from V and Jennie's Instagram posts. The two images both feature a beautiful sunset in a harbor, making people believe that they were taken in the same location or while onboard the same ferry, and that the two idols might have met each other.

In the comments section of the post, one Nate Pann user pointed out that the hat the BTS member is wearing in the pic with an elephant looks like the same hat that Jennie is wearing in one of the leaked photos of the BLACKPINK members, particularly the one in which she's posing with Rosé.

Over on Twitter, one user by the handle @130399R compared a different photo from the K-pop artists' Instagram posts. It is noticeable that each shot has towering buildings in the background, leading netizens to speculate they had an "evening date."
