Twenty twenty-two (2022) is deemed as the year of the K-pop girl groups, with many powerful rookie female groups making their debut in the music industry. In the past months, new acts such as IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, Kep1er, and more are making their mark with their releases and dominating music charts across the globe.

Now, 2023 is just two months away and with a new year, there's always something new coming in. In the K-pop industry, there are new K-pop boy groups lined up for debut.

This year, major entertainment agencies have already announced their plans to launch new acts in 2023. Most of the labels are currently preparing to launch male idol groups in the coming year, raising the anticipation of K-pop fans.

One of those companies is SM Entertainment, who is planning on debuting a new NCT subunit, which is said to consist of Sungchan, Shotaro and the new male SM ROOKIES.

JYP Entertainment is also expected to launch male artists next year, such as a group comprising the trainees from "LOUD" survival show and new trainees, as well as a boy group version of NiziU.

A new K-pop boy group from Big Hit Music, home to BTS and TXT, is also making their debut in 2023. The group will be composed of the Trainee A members who are currently active on YouTube.

Fantagio, which houses ASTRO and Weki Meki, is also said to be preparing a new male idol group and rumors say the group will include Noh Sung Chul, who previously competed in Mnet's "I-LAND."

The male trainees under KQ Entertainment are projected to debut next year, as well. The trainees, collectively called KQ Fellaz, were already revealed this past August.

Other entertainment companies who are planning to launch new K-pop boy groups in 2023 are PLEDIS Entertainment, CUBE Entertainment, KOZ Entertainment, MNH Entertainment, and CJeS Entertainment.

In addition to that, Mnet's "Boy Planet" survival show is scheduled to air in 2023 and it will also produce a new male idol group.
