With their second mini-album "ANTIFRAGILE," LE SSERAFIM has achieved the highest debut on Billboard 200 for a fourth-generation K-pop girl group in history. They are also the fastest K-pop girl group to enter the chart.

LE SSERAFIM's 'ANTIFRAGILE' Scores Highest Debut on Billboard 200 for 4th Gen K-pop Girl Group

On Oct. 31 local time, Billboard named the albums that debuted on this week's Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States of the week.

Among those albums was LE SSERAFIM's "ANTIFRAGILE," which occupied No. 14 with 23,000 units sold in the U.S. This marks the rookie girl group's first-ever appearance on Billboard 200. It also becomes the first album by a 2022 rookie group to land on the tally.

On top of that, "ANTIFRAGILE" attained the highest debut entry on Billboard 200 by a fourth-generation K-pop girl group, surpassing aespa's "Savage" that entered at No. 20 on the chart in October of last year.

LE SSERAFIM is also now the fastest K-pop girl group to ever enter the Billboard chart, doing so in only five months since their debut in May. This record previously belonged to aespa, who debuted on the chart in exactly 11 months after their debut with "Savage."

Furthermore, LE SSERAFIM now joins ITZY, aespa, LOONA, and (G)I-DLE as the only fourth-generation K-pop girl group to enter the popular Billboard album chart.

In addition to Billboard 200, "ANTIFRAGILE" rose to No. 1 on this week's Billboard World Albums chart after debuting at No. 13 last week. This is the rookie group's first-ever No. 1 album.

LE SSERAFIM's new title track "ANTIFRAGILE" also entered other Billboard charts. In fact, the song earned the group their highest peak on Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 8 and No. 42, respectively. The track even placed 79th on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

Earlier this month, LE SSERAFIM set a new personal record for their first-week sales on the Hanteo Chart after "ANTIFRAGILE" sold a total of 567,673 copies from Oct. 17 to 23. Those numbers made the rookie act the girl group with the sixth-highest first-week sales.

The five other girl group albums that sold higher are BLACKPINK's "BORN PINK," aespa "Girls," IVE's "After LIKE," BLACKPINK's "THE ALBUM," (G)I-DLE "I love."

LE SSERAFIM Gets Nominated at 2022 MAMA Awards

In other news, LE SSERAFIM was named as one of the nominees in multiple categories at the 2022 MAMA Awards (previously known as the Mnet Asian Music Awards).

The five-member rookie group is nominated for Best New Female Artist, Artist of the Year, and Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10. Additionally, their debut song "FEARLESS" is running for Best Dance Performance Female Group, Song of the Year.

Voting will begin on Nov. 4 at 11:59 p.m. KST on the official website of 2022 MAMA Awards. The award ceremony will then take place at Osaka's Kyocera Dome in Japan on Nov. 29 and 30.
