K-pop is one of the most loved music genres around the world, so it is not a surprise that many decide to pursue a career in the Korean industry. With that, many non-Koreans try their hand at becoming a K-pop idol, leaving their homeland to chase their dreams. And like any foreign K-pop idol in the industry, they had to dedicate time during their trainee years to learn Korean, and in most cases, Japanese.

But due to them spending majority of their time speaking Korean, there are times when they end up forgetting their own language! With that, here are some foreign K-pop idols who hilariously forgot how to speak their own languages!

1. TWICE Momo

In TWICE, there are three Japanese members - Mina, Sana, and Momo. All three of them are fluent in Korean, given how long they have been living in the country. However, there are times when they hilariously forget how to speak Japanese!

In particular, Momo is the member who brought lots of laughter for the amount of times she couldn't speak Japanese, as she would stumble on her words and even forget how to pronounce some of them! In fact, her fellow Korean members even had to help her out when she is speaking Japanese during their promotions in Japan.

2. BLACKPINK Lisa

BLACKPINK member Lisa is a multilingual queen as she is fluent in four languages, Korean, Japanese, English, and her native language Thai. But knowing that many languages, there can come a time when the words get jumbled up in your head, and you end up forgetting some words.

In the case of Lisa, the BLACKPINK member made everyone laugh and confused when she struggled to count in Thai during an episode of JTBC's variety show Idol Room. What was even funnier was that the show's hosts had to teach Lisa the Thai word for the number zero.

3. Kep1er Hikaru

Rookie idol Hikaru, who is one of the Japanese members of the Girls Planet 999-formed girl group Kep1er, has times when she struggles with speaking Japanese with how often she speaks Korean. In fact, Kep1ians (Kep1er's fandom) even wonder jokingly if Hikaru can still speak Japanese.

When Hikaru has to speak in Japanese these days, the "WA DA DA" singer has to take a few seconds to load and think of the word she needs to say, making others laugh with her fluent, yet broken Japanese.

4. GOT7 BamBam

Another Thai idol who had some issues with his own language is GOT7 member BamBam! The Thai idol often speaks in English when he doesn't need to speak Korean. So when he does speak Thai, it doesn't come without hardships.

He, along with his fellow GOT7 members, attended an event wherein BamBam took the lead speaking in Thai to the audience. However, during this time, BamBam couldn't help but stumble on his words and pronunciation a bit. Given Thai is his native language, BamBam ended up bursting into laughter at his hilarious mistake.
