Solo artist Tao, a former EXO member, is once again embroiled in a romantic relationship rumor with Chinese idol Xu Yiyang. But this time, some claimed the two also have marriage in mind while reportedly seeing each other.

On November 3, Chinese local outlet Sina Entertainment News reported that Tao recently met his mother along with Xu Yiyang, a former SM Entertainment trainee who is now active in China.
In the photos and videos unveiled by the local outlet, Tao happily served Xu some soup and the atmosphere at the dining table was also light and vibrant as they shared meals.
After having a friendly time with the family, Tao's mother left while the two Chinese stars were seen going home and moving furniture together, raising speculations of marriage beyond dating.
According to Sina, it is possible that the two are now living together.
Yiyang meeting Tao's mother is allegedly a sign that the two are serious with their reported relationship.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time, but rather, the third time that Huang Zitao and Xu Yiyang are said to be dating.
The two were embroiled in rumors of a romantic relationship after allegations that they enjoyed a beach date in February 2022.
At the time, Tao denied this claims and emphasized that:
"All of our artists are family."
But in April, it was reported that the rumored couple stayed together at the filming site in Hangzhou.

Tao made his debut as EXO in 2012 but in April 2015, his father demanded his withdrawal due to an injury that sparked a conflict with SM Entertainment.
The idol filed an exclusive contract lawsuit against SM and completely withdrew from EXO. He pursued activities in China under his real name of Huang Zi Tao, even though he was finally ruled to lose by the Supreme Court in 2018.
Xu Yiyang was a popular SM Entertainment artist who quit the company sometime in 2016 after working as a member of SM ROOKIES. It is said she was supposed to debut as aespa, but left Korea for China and debuted in a C-pop girl group called Legal High.
She signed an exclusive contract with L. TAO Entertainment, the company established by the former EXO member.
It is said that the two developed feelings for each other while working as senior-junior.
Currently, Tao is 29 years old while Xu Yiyang is 25 years old. The two also had to overcome the barrier between their status as top star and CEO dating rookie singer.
