NCT 127 in Danger: Fans Worried Over Idols’ Safety Despite Bomb Treat Perpetrator Arrest

Is NCT 127 in danger? The K-pop stars received a handwritten letter describing a bomb threat, prompting the deployment of around 250 police officers in the vicinity.

Their two-night concerts will take place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, as announced last month. This performance is part of their "NEO CITY: THE LINK" tour.

The letter reportedly reads, "ICE BSD, November 4, 2022. SOS 11 people, 3 TNT TATP cars."

However, the boyband's concerts in Jakarta, Indonesia, scheduled for today and Saturday, Nov. 5, will go forward as planned, according to Coconuts Jakarta, amid the scary situation.

NCT 127 Bomb Threat

Jakarta Metro Police reportedly a bomb threat, which immediately spread online. It gave information about the concert location where NCT 127 will be performing.

Staff members took rapid action and getting a police unit involved, such as the K9 unit, and required them to be in the concert vicinity. Throughout their searches, they found no threats of explosive devices or even explosives in the area.

Furthermore, authorities stated that they had conducted a comprehensive search for the perpetrator and luckily had located them. According to reports, the person who launched the bomb threat will be brought in for questioning.

Meanwhile, it was reported that NCT 127's concerts will go through as scheduled, and that the general public is urged to relax because no danger had been found.

Following concerns with overcrowding at an Indonesian music event in Jakarta last week, the two-night concerts will also have heightened safety and security precautions.

According to Detik News, the police didn't want another disorderly event to occur, so they increased security measures to avoid a repeat of the NCT 127 performances.

It has been discovered that the idols' ticketing system would now feature a sensor device to track the number of individuals entering the arena.

There are now emergency exits and health posts around the site. There are 250 police officers on the location since 8,000 concertgoers are expected.

Fans around the world are said to be concerned about NCT 127's concert in Jakarta.

Some even encouraged SM Entertainment to cancel or postpone the event in order to guarantee the safety of all idols, including their fans.

One person explained, "tbh idk how sm & fans trust wtv indonesian police say abt the bomb threat towards the link concert when its just all words..like where are the news photos of them arresting the person who made the bomb threat to nct 127..if the police caught them the pics shld be on news by now."

"sm & indonesia police shld take bomb threats seriously..in other countries nct 127 concert wld be postponed/cancelled..doing a preliminary inspection doesnt guarantee anything..a bomb threat is still a bomb threat..anything can happen btw now & end concert & ppl lives are at risk," a second Twitter user said.
