Amid the issue surrounding the members being victims of abuse by their CEO, the group has finally took to social media to address the scandal.

OMEGA X Speaks Up About Being Victims of Abuse by SPIRE Entertainment CEO

Boy group OMEGA X has become the talk of the town these days after it was revealed that their label's CEO, SPIRE Entertainment's Kang Seong Hee, had been verbally and physically abusing the members.

This issue came to light when several OMEGA X fans, FOR X, took to their social media to share having witnessed the abuse themselves, from when the group was in North and South America for their 2022 OMEGA X WORLD TOUR [CONNECT: Don't Give Up].

SPIRE Entertainment denied being perpetrators of abuse, and even labeled them being exposed as an act done by an anti-fan. Later, a video showing the CEO abusing the members were released online.

Following these events, OMEGA X was reportedly left stranded in Los Angeles, United States after SPIRE Entertainment cancelled their flight home, while the staff members who were with them returned to South Korea on the flight they were supposed to be on. The members were able to return home after reportedly spending their own money for flight tickets.

Now, after weeks of the members remaining silent regarding the issue, the OMEGA X members finally spoke up and released a statement.

On November 6, OMEGA X launched a new Instagram account separate from their official one managed by their label. In their post, they shared a photo of the members' hands joined together. They also added a lengthy caption, which addresses the abuse scandal.

"We have created this small space of communication to convey our current situation through words of thanks to the fans who love us and to those who have supported us, and through our mouths as the parties involved in the incident.

Under the pressure of SPIRE Entertainment, the members have signed a memorandum saying, 'If we upload on social media without consulting the company, we will take civil and criminal responsibility.' We wanted to resume communication with our fans as soon as possible until we settled our position with SPIRE Entertainment, but we ask for your understanding.

Since starting our group activities, we have had happy times, but we also had to go through painful times. And when what we were going through became known to the world this time, we were worried that what we have achieved so far will go up in smoke. But now we have put our fears behind us and have decided to be brave together.

Our group was the second opportunity for the eleven [OMEGA X] members who gathered through a time of setbacks to not give up on their dreams. The only driving force that allowed us to challenge our dreams without giving up was our fans who have waited, trusted, and supported us. Thanks to our fans, we were able to last for two years. There were days when we were treated by the label, to the point where we wanted to cry, but remembering the cheers from fans, watching the cheering messages, and sleeping were the only strengths that kept us going.

From now on, we will continue to run after our dreams to the end just as we always have. We will stand in front of our fans again with good music and performances. The eleven members with the same goal and the fans with the same dreams as our are the most precious things in our world that we don't want to lose again.
