Several K-pop entertainment companies have long been accused of having their "favorite(s)" in the idol groups they manage. Fans have noticed over the years that there are members with more screen time, more lines in songs, and more individual activities than the rest, hence, they accuse the agencies of unequal treatment.

Below are five K-pop idols who are regarded as the "favorite" of their companies.

BLACKPINK Jennie

Although all four BLACKPINK members shine in their own ways, many believe that YG Entertainment favors Jennie more. In fact, Jennie was dubbed "YG's Princess" because she is often in the limelight. People claimed that she gets the best outfits and most opportunities among the members.

For instance, Jennie was the first one to make her solo debut, which is just two years after their group debut. It was also pointed out that she is often given outfits that make her stand out in the group when performing on stage.

IVE Jang Wonyoung

IVE Jang Wonyoung is another K-pop idol who has been pointed out as a favorite of her company. Fans claimed that she seemed to be receiving special treatment with her stage outfits, which make her more noticeable among the members. One time, IVE performed at the 2021 SBS Gayo Daejeon and Jang Wonyoung was the only one wearing an all-white outfit.

Other than that, during the group's debut showcase, Wonyoung was dressed in hot pink while her co-members wore much darker attires. Many expressed their annoyance at these incidents, as the other members are getting less attention.

TWICE Nayeon

In JYP Entertainment, TWICE Nayeon is said to be the "favorite" K-pop idol. It is said that she gave the agency and the group international popularity, and that she has more lines than the main vocalist even if she's just the lead vocalist.

What's more, some say that she has more screen time than the other TWICE members, and it was also pointed out that she was the first member to make her solo debut.

Nayeon is also believed to be a "favorite" trainee, as she got the most number of commercial films and other activities prior to debut. Some also think that she was the most favored trainee during the "SIXTEEN" survival show.

Former miss A Bae Suzy

Bae Suzy is also considered a K-pop idol who's a "favorite" of her company, particularly JYP Entertainment when her former group miss A was still active. This is arguably one of the most popular cases of one group member being favored and significantly more popular than the other members.

Often dubbed "JYP Princess," Bae Suzy (who was the maknae) was the only miss A member who non-fans had grown to be familiar with. She has been in the spotlight since starring in the 2011 hit K-drama "Dream High," even after miss A disbanded in 2017.

EVERGLOW Mia

Similar to IVE Jang Wonyoung, it seems like EVERGLOW Mia also gets preferential treatment from the group's agency, but in the form of song lines, not outfits. Since she debuted, Mia constantly got the most lines in EVERGLOW's tracks and had the most screen time. Fans of the group noticed this, and some started referring to them as "Mia and friends."
