Earlier, Jisoo's photos from their world tour, "BORN PINK" were posted on social media wherein it showed a lump as big as the size of a coin on her neck.

Following the rumor of health complications, YG Entertainment immediately clarified that Jisoo is not sick and is doing well.

But this is contrary to what a surgeon thinks. Taking consideration of the idol's age, the location of the lump and its shape, Vice Chairman Lee Se Ra then claimed:

"If you look at Jisoo's picture, there is a 99.99% chance of having an epidermal cyst."

In context, an epidermal cyst means that the oil glands of the epidermis layer are blocked and tumors are formed.

In Jisoo's case, her cyst is quite swollen but her lymphadenitis is thin and not clear.

The doctor diagnosed that epidermal cysts often grow like this.

Surgeon Lee Advises Jisoo of Undergoing Biopsy, Explains Risks If Left Unattended

In the interview, the vice chairman attested to fans and viewers that if Jisoo indeed has a cyst, it is not malignant.

"Benign cysts are rather small in size. She [Jisoo] has a soft benign cyst. The most important characteristic of a malignant cyst is that it is hard and bumpy. Most of the benign cysts are soft, smooth, and small in shape. It can distinguish between malignant and benign by about 70 percent."

Despite Jisoo feeling no symptoms, Vice Chairman Lee recommended the BLACKPINK star undergo a biopsy and revealed the risks if the speculated cyst will be left unattended.

"If you feel emaciated or have a fever, you need an immediate examination at a hospital. However, even if there are no such symptoms, a biopsy is needed if it has been more than two months since the (swollen) lymph glands were on the neck."

(Jisoo's) cyst is very likely to be benign. Nevertheless, if she continues to leave that tumor, you will be infected and leave a lot of scars on your neck. Treatment, after it gets too big, will likely cause scars. If possible, it is better to find an appropriate hospital quickly and undergo surgery when the size is not large."

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently embarking on their world tour, having Seoul and US cities as their first stops.

Amid their performances, two of the members, Jisoo and Jennie raised concerns over their health after showing signs of health problems.

Fans were concerned about the former's lump on her neck, while Jennie recently worried fans about her reportedly recurring leg injury.
