On Sept. 16, BLACKPINK made their long-awaited full-group comeback with their second full album "BORN PINK," which contains eight songs including the title track "Shut Down" and the pre-release songs "Pink Venom" and "Ready for Love."

"Shut Down" contains lyrics written by TEDDY, Danny Chung, and Vince, and was composed by TEDDY and 24. Sampling classical composer Paganini's "La Campanella," the song combines classical music with hip hop beats. Throughout the song, the girls take turns in shutting down naysayers with clever clapbacks.

On the same day as the album's release, the music video for BLACKPINK's "Shut Down" also arrived. The MV is an amazing tribute to all the music the quartet has released up until today. There are multiple scenes that reference the group's past music videos and there are signs that have the title of the girls' previous songs such as "DDU-DU DDU-DU," "How You Like That," "WHISTLE," and more.

In addition to that, the powerful choreography and lyrics of the song were also showcased in the music video. Of course, the members' visuals were unmatched, leaving BLINKs (BLACKPINK's fan club) in awe.

But, as many fans might expect, producing such a high-quality music video isn't easy. The BLACKPINK members and the company staff had to give their all in filming.

In her latest interview with ELLE, Jennie revealed that the members actually "didn't sleep for a good four days" while shooting the "Shut Down" MV, having to keep filming new scenes despite insufficient sleep.

Jennie brought this up when the magazine asked her, "What is your favorite memory on set, filming your latest project?"

The idol answered, "So the last time I was on set was I think for our video 'Shut Down' for BLACKPINK and we didn't sleep for a good four days, and we had to shoot right through it."

One of the main reasons that took them that long to film is that the girls were learning the choreography for the song on the spot.

"And there was a lot of choreography to do, which we actually learned on the spot," the singer added.

Despite having to stay awake for four days, Jennie said that filming BLACKPINK's "Shut Down" MV was still a "very memorable" time for her.
