WayV to Make Their Return— Is Lucas Participating?

WayV has announced their plans to make a comeback with a new mini-album. Aside from their new concept, another thing that fans anticipate is whether Lucas- who has been on hiatus since August 2021- will participate.

Naturally, WayV's fans are excited about their upcoming release, given that it's been a long time since the group dropped an album.

However, amid the excitement, some fans brought up Lucas, asking about his whereabouts.

Lucas has been inactive in NCT's and WayV's activities since August 2021 when he was accused of "cheating, gaslighting, manipulation, and pressuring a fan to have unprotected sex with him" by multiple netizens, some of whom claimed to be his ex-girlfriends.

As of this writing, SM Entertainment hasn't made any confirmations whether or not he is still a member of WayV or NCT as a whole. The company also hasn't announced whether they are checking the facts regarding the allegations made against Lucas.

At the time they responded to the controversy, SM only said that Lucas is deeply reflecting on "having caused great pain and disappointment" and that they decided to delay the release of Lucas and Hendery's single "Jalapeño."

Additionally, SM Entertainment didn't specify which members will participate in WayV's comeback. But looking at the number of members in the teaser photo and the album cover for "Phantom," there are only six boys, meaning one of them didn't participate.

Also, only six photocards and six postcards, each featuring one member, are available.

Meanwhile, WayV's comeback with "Phantom" is scheduled on Dec. 9.
