A K-pop girl group song is revealed to be the most-used music on TikTok South Korea this 2022. What's more impressive is that it is the only female group track in the top 10.

IVE's 'LOVE DIVE' Is the Most-Used Music on TikTok South Korea in 2022 + Top 10

On Dec. 7, TikTok South Korea released its Year-End 2022 Top Songs chart, which ranks the most popular Korean songs on the short-video app this year.

Sitting at No. 1 is IVE's "LOVE DIVE," the title track of the rookie girl group's album of the same name, released in April.

"LOVE DIVE," which boasted unique choreography such as the "Mirror Dance" and "Diving Dance," showed great popularity on TikTok South Korea. The number of views of videos with the hashtag "#LOVEDIVE" exceeded 200 million views just within a week of its release.

Additionally, several phrases related to the song were even among the popular search terms on TikTok in Korea and overseas, such as "IVE LOVE DIVE," "LOVE DIVE," and "IVE LOVE DIVE Challenge."

IVE's "LOVE DIVE" isn't only receiving a lot of love on TikTok South Korea, but in domestic charts as well even up to this day. In fact, it ranked first on the year-end charts of Melon, VIBE, and Circle Digital Chart, as well as on YouTube Music, Spotify South Korea, and Apple Music South Korea.

What's more, "LOVE DIVE" earned a total of 10 music show trophies, becoming one of the multiple K-pop girl group songs of 2022 with the third most music show wins. It even went on to take home the Song of the Year award (Daesang) from the 2022 Melon Music Awards and the 2022 MAMA Awards.

IVE Makes It to Multiple Year-End List of Best Songs of 2022

In other news, IVE;s "LOVE DIVE" was named one of the "50 Best Songs of 2022" by British publication NME. The K-pop girl group song ranked No. 30 and was described by Karen Gwee as IVE's "sophisticated seduction anthem" that "reels you back in again and again."

IVE's other hit song "After LIKE" landed at No. 53 on Rolling Stone's "100 Best Songs of 2022." Kristine Kwak commented that the song "gets better and better with each listen." She also took note of the things that made "After LIKE" one of the best songs: its disco-pop beat, the Gloria Gaynor sample, the dance break, and the fireworks scene in the music video.
