Jooan is one of the former members of the disbanded K-pop boy group We In The Zone, also known as WITZ. It has been almost two years since the group ended their activities. So, let's take a look at how Jooan, the main dancer, is doing at present.

Who Is K-pop Idol Jooan (We In The Zone)?

Jooan, whose birth name is Im Jimyoung, was born on Oct. 4, 1996. He is a South Korean singer-songwriter and producer.

He began his career in the entertainment industry as a member of the male duo JOOAN X ESON under Freedom City. They dropped their first mixtape "Bet On Me" in 2018.

Jooan later re-debuted as a member of Choon Entertainment's K-pop boy group We In The Zone (WITZ). He was one of the three original trainees to be introduced as members, before the company added two more.

Jooan's Activities as We In The Zone Member

K-pop boy group We In The Zone debuted on May 27, 2019 with their self-titled mini-album. The EP is composed of five songs including "Let's Get Loud" serving as the title track.

In honor of their 100th day as a group, We In The Zone dropped their first digital single titled "Wish List" on Sept. 3.

However, on Oct. 22, WITZ was reorganized as a four-member group due to the departure of Min, who decided to part ways with the band and the agency because of personal reasons.

Eight days later, the boy group dropped their second EP "Weeee!"- their first release as a foursome. The mini-album features the title song "Loveade" and three other new songs.

In 2020, We In The Zone released two more digital singles: "Wish List Part.2" and "Play List Part.1."

Why Did K-pop Boy Group We In The Zone Disband?

Just after one year and eight months, We In The Zone disbanded.

On Jan. 15, 2021, in a now deleted Instagram post, Kyungheon announced that the members had all terminated their contracts with Choon Entertainment due to internal circumstances. Their disbandment was confirmed when the group's official Instagram account was deleted and the members have been inactive on their SNS accounts.

As of this writing, former We In The Zone member Jooan is a member of the project boy group TAN, managed by Think Entertainment. He is also part of TAN's subunit kimseobanglim and a producing team called CIELOGROOVE.

To recall, K-pop boy group TAN was formed through the survival show "Wild Idol," which aired from September to December 2021. Jooan made it to the finale and finished in seventh place, earning him a spot in the debut lineup.

TAN, which stands for To All Nations, is made up of seven members. They debuted on March 10 this year with the EP "Limited Edition '1TAN'." In the band, Jooan is the main vocalist and lead dancer.

While TAN is under the management of Think Entertainment, Jooan is an independent idol, meaning he isn't affiliated with any agency outside of Think Entertainment.
