Blockberry Creative Files Petition to Suspend Chuu's Entertainment Activities

BlockBerry Creative has submitted a petition for Chuu's suspension in future entertainment activities.

Here's what we know so far.

BlockBerry Creative Files Petition to Suspend Chuu's Entertainment Activities

On February 1, it was revealed that a petition was submitted by BlockBerry Creative to suspend Chuu's entertainment activities. According to the Korea Entertainment Management Association, the petition was submitted in December 2022.

In the label's appeal, they pointed out that Chuu had violated a specific part of the management contract. BlockBerry Creative claimed that the idol had "tampered" the contract by signing in to BY4M STUDIO as early as 2021.

With the claims at hand, the matters reached the Reward and Punishment Committee of the Korea Entertainment Management Association, to which they requested Chuu's presence.

According to Chuu's legal representative, a thorough investigation will be held first on BlockBerry Creative's claims against Chuu.

"It's only natural to elaborate the expulsion's details, but to be fair, Chuu also has the right to provide more credible evidence regarding the claims. Since it also affected other people, the staff also have the same right to disclose reliable facts before making a decision."

Furthermore, a BlockBerry Creative source disclosed that the agency plans to submit a petition against LOONA members Heejin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry.

Orbits Angered by BlockBerry Creative's Petition Against Chuu

Upon seeing the reports, Orbits were enraged with BlockBerry Creative with the petition. They called out the agency's tenacity on the dispute, despite Chuu transferring on a new label for a fresh start.

Fans expressed that BlockBerry Creative's plan to spread rumors about Chuu didn't go as expected, leading the label to resort in proposing an activity-suspending petition. Others claimed that the agency has gone through such approach to maximize profits from Chuu.

See their comments below:

"So, the Korean Entertainment Management Association is just going to keep power tripping like that? If they really pass the ban to her promotions, you'd know exactly what kind of organization they are."

"Who do they think they are to try to block Chuu like that? This is dumbfounding."

"This is just evil. Why would you take so many kids under you to act like that?"

"It's the 'if I go down, you go down with me' mentality. Agencies will never let go of their artists that easily. A possible breach of contract from the artist's side means money for the company. That's why they'll squeeze as much money out of them as possible."

"Because everything else failed. Spreading rumors about Chuu being rude to staff didn't work, the other members filled an injunction and some of them won. The ones that didn't are still going to file an appeal, the fandom boycott is working, and they had to postpone the comeback. No one is on their side, so they're resorting to low blows like this."
