On February 14, MOMOLAND members posted letters on their individual Instagram accounts, announcing their disbandment.

Merries caught wind of the news, causing them to contemplate over the disbandment. This reflection made them call out MLD Entertainment.

Fans then enumerated factors that led to their disbandment, starting with a lack of album releases. They also included the fact that MOMOLAND has never released one full album in their career.

Some claimed that since 2020, MLD Entertainment has been inconsistent when it comes to supporting MOMOLAND in terms of music, content, season greetings, and even tours.

Others were enraged since MOMOLAND was a group full of potential. This was showcased with their 2018 prominence when "Bboom Bboom" was released. Aside from their music, MOMOLAND is known for their viral antics and group harmony in variety shows.

MOMOLAND Posts Disbandment Letters on Individual Instagram Accounts

The "Bboom Bboom" hitmakers, which consists of Hyebin, Jane, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy all posted the disbandment letter in English. The group first apologized to their fandom, Merries, for receiving the news through online articles and their late update.

They explained that after a thorough discussion with the company, all six of them decided to part ways and support each other in their solo endeavors. MOMOLAND furthered that despite the disbandment, they will still form close contact with each other.

MOMOLAND expressed gratitude to everyone who supported them up until their disbandment, and to those who will do so in the future. They also thanked Merries for all the memories made throughout their career.

After a long, deep discussion, the six of us members have decided to support for each other to have a great new beginning going forward.

Even though we have decided to take our own paths towards our dreams, MOMOLAND will always be a team.

We sincerely thank our beloved Merries for providing us with precious memories and being by our side for the last seven years. Our Merries have been everything to us and always will be.

We are deeply sorry that we couldn't let you guys know sooner, but sincerely thank each and everyone that have patiently waited for us.
