The King Is Back! EXO Kai Announces Comeback Details For Solo Album 'Rover'

On February 16, EXO's "World Class Performer" Kai revealed more details on his new solo album "Rover."

EXO-Ls were met with sweet news, as this will serve as Kai's 3rd mini album. It will follow his albums "KAI" and "Peaches," offering another instant bop to fans. Kai is set to release "Rover" on March 13, at 6 P.M. KST.

The announcement was revealed through official SNS, which included his Instagram account, as well as EXO's Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. The news was also received by the World Music Awards, expressing their anticipation over Kai's new album.

With this reveal, Kai will now be making a solo comeback after 1 year and 4 months. EXO also announced on Twitter, that pre-orders will now begin on February 17. EXO-Ls also conveyed their excitement on the social media posts. Some mentioned how delighting it was to see Kai release a solo album before his inevitable military enlistment. EXO Kai Debuts As Soloist With Self-Titled EP: Content, Achievements, More!

On November 30, Kai released his first extended play "KAI," which contains the lead single "Mmmh."

With this debut, Kai has become the fifth EXO member to embark as soloist. He also joined Lay, Chen, Baekhyun, Suho, D.O, and Xiumin, the latest member to go solo.

On October 29, 2021, the MV for title track "Mmmh" has reached 100 million views on YouTube. As of February 17, 2023, the video currently garners 131,123,065 views.

Since its release, it charted in over 70 countries on iTunes Songs Chart, which claimed No. 1 spot on 42 countries. It has also become the first track from SM Entertainment to dominate charts in 42 countries on Worldwide iTunes Song Chart.
