'Peak Time' Episode 7 Recap: Program Eliminates 6 Teams, Remaining Contestants Move to 3rd Round
On the seventh episode of JTBC's "Peak Time," six teams are now eliminated from the program, leading the remaining participants to advance on Round 3.
Here's what happened.
'Peak Time' Episode 7: Program Eliminates Six Teams, Remaining Contestants Advance to Round 3
Previously on Peak Time's episode 6, the show presented the remaining performances of the rap, dance, and vocal units. The alliances were formed in episode 4, where a total of 16 teams were established and are comprised of four teams each.
As soon as the stages of rap, vocal, and dance categories were performed, the final results came into light. On March 22, Episode 7 focused on the eliminations of six teams, and the remaining winners who'll compete on the third round.
During the episode, MC Lee Seung Gi revealed the global rankings, which were derived from the first global vote. It also concluded on March 16, at 12:30 a.m. KST, and the benefits that winners of each round received.

Afterwards, Lee Seung Gi then explained the mechanics of the third round. Round 3 will be a "New Song Battle," where teams are given a new song to produce their own.
Although all 16 teams have recorded and prepared their selected song ahead of the ranking reveal, only the top eight teams would get the chance to perform their new songs.
In the end, the final rankings were finally unveiled, after determining the benefits from the first two rounds.

However, when all contestants believed the finalized lineup, Lee Seung Gi disclosed a twist. The MC revealed that two additional teams have been given an opportunity to advance on the third round.
The first team announced was Team 7:00 (MASC), due to their impressive pure global voting score (without benefits). Afterwards, Team 2:00 (NTX) was announced as the second one to follow up, because of the judging panel saw their promising nature.
