Boys Planet Episode 8 Recap: SHINee Key Appears As 5th Star Master, 3rd Mission Announced

In the eighth episode, Mnet's survival show "Boys Planet" has introduced fifth Star Master SHINee Key, its second Survivor Announcement Ceremony, and mechanics of the third mission.

On March 23, the eighth episode of "Boys Planet" revealed the second eliminations. The second Survivor Announcement Ceremony announced which of the top 28 of 51 contestants will advance.

SHINee Key was then introduced as the show's fifth Star Master. The legendary idol had the honor of announcing the upcoming third mission, which is the "Artist Battle."

According to Key's explanation, the mission will require contestants to create performances with new songs, which were made by top notch choreographers and music producers.

The mission will also determine the contestants' musical talent, while demonstrating potential as an all-rounder idol capable of choreographing, producing music, and rap.

"You will choreograph performances using brand-new tunes that have been created by prominent producers. You must demonstrate your musical talent to succeed in this quest."

"You'll need to establish your versatility as an all-arounder by showing off your creativity in producing, choreography, and rap making abilities."

Key then explained the benefits for "Artist Battle." It was revealed that the winning team will receive a benefit of 200,000 points. Apart from this group benefit, the contestant who'll earn first place will be given the same 200,00 points individually.

Furthermore, a benefit of performing in "M Countdown will be given and a fan meeting with star creators. As for the five new songs, the tracks are composed of various music genres.

These songs include "Say My Name" (Newtro Synth-pop), "Switch" (Oriental Pop), "Super Charger" (Sentimental Hip Hop), "En Gard" (Funk Pop), and "Over Me" (R&B).

"The team with the highest score will receive a benefit of 200,000 points. The member that places first will receive an individual benefit of 200,000 points."

"A performance on 'M Countdown' and a fan gathering with the star producers are also parts of the extra benefit."

Afterwards, the Survivor Announcement Ceremony commenced, which presented new top nine finalists. BTOB Minhyuk, the fourth Star Master, unveiled the rankings from the "Dual Position Battle."
